Roly Wall
Roly is a fictional dog from the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders''. Roly is an apricot coloured Standard Poodle, who appears in the first episode of the programme on 19 February 1985 and remained in the show until 19 October 1993. Elmdale Ward
Elmdale Ward was a municipal ward in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The ward was created in 1929 when it was split off from Dalhousie Ward. It existed until 1994, when it was merged with Queensboro Ward to become Kitchissippi Ward. From 1952 to 1980, the ward was known as Elmdale-Victoria Ward, after Elmdale Ward merged with Victoria Ward. Elmdale Ward originally consisted of Ottawa's western suburbs, such as Civic Hospital and Hintonburg, but was later shifted west by an expanding Dalhousie Ward to its east. James McAuley (politician)
James Phillip McAuley (12 October 1917 – 15 October 1976) was an Australian academic, poet, journalist, literary critic and a prominent convert to Roman Catholicism. He was involved in the Ern Malley poetry hoax. Life and career McAuley was born in Lakemba, a suburb of Sydney. He was educated at Fort Street High School and then attended Sydney University, where he majored in English, Latin and philosophy (which he studied under John Anderson. In 1937 he edited ''Hermes'', the annual literary journal of the University of Sydney Union, in which many of his early poems, beginning in 1935, were published until 1941. He began his life as an Anglican and was sometime organist and choirmaster at Holy Trinity Church, Dulwich Hill, in Sydney. He lost his Christian faith as a younger man. Wilbert Hamilton
C. Wilbert Hamilton (November 17, 1897–June 9, 1964) was a Canadian politician. He was an alderman on Ottawa City Council from 1932 to 1933 and from 1935 to 1956, and a member of the Ottawa Board of Control from 1957 to 1962. His tenure in civic politics set a record for longest continual years of service. Early life Hamilton was born in South March, Ontario, the son of immigrants William John Hamilton from Ireland and Mary Gordon of Scotland. His father was a farmer in Carp, Ontario. Capital Ward or Ward 17 (French: ''Quartier Capitale'') is a city ward located in the centre of Ottawa, Ontario. Situated just south of downtown Ottawa, the ward includes the communities of Old Ottawa East, Old Ottawa South, the Glebe, Heron Park, Carleton University, and Riverview (Ottawa)#Sub neighbourhoods, Riverside Out of all the wards currently in existence, Capital ward has existed the longest. It was originally created in 1909 from parts of Wellington Ward and Central Ward when the Glebe was settled. The original capital ward consisted solely of the Glebe.
