1947 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1947 Norwegian Football Cup was the 42nd season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Brann Stadion in Bergen on 19 October 1947, and Skeid secured their first title with a 2-0 win against Viking. Skeid had previously played two cup finals but lost both in 1939 and 1940, while it was Viking's second appearance in the final, having previously lost in 1933. Lyn were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Brann in the fourth round. Aker, Norway
Aker was a former independent municipality in Akershus, Norway, that constitutes the vast majority of the territory of the modern city of Oslo. The name originally belonged to a farm which was located near the current Old Aker Church. The church in turn became the source of the name of the parish and later municipality as well as Akershus Fortress, the main fief and main county of Akershus which included most of Eastern Norway until 1919, the smaller county of Akershus, and numerous institutions within this area. Aker municipality was in terms of population by far the largest municipality of Akershus county and surrounded the capital city of Christiania (renamed Oslo in 1925) until 1948; Aker was 27 times larger than the capital it surrounded. Johan Alho
Johan ″Jonne″ Aksel Alho (9 February 1907 – 14 September 1982) was a Finnish footballer and a football referee. Football Player career Alho started his career in the Helsinki working-class side Töölön Vesa, winning the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation's (TUL) Championship in 1930. At the time, the football in Finland was split in two due to the 1918 Finnish Civil War. In 1931, Alho was a member of the TUL football team participating the Workers' Summer Olympiad in Vienna. In the fall of 1931, three Vesa players, Alho, Valdemar Virtanen and Kurt Weckström, switched to the bourgeois HJK Helsinki. Nils Gunnar Nordahl (; 19 October 1921 – 15 September 1995) was a Swedish professional footballer. A highly prolific, powerful, and physically strong striker, with an eye for goal, he is best known for his spell at AC Milan from 1949 to 1956, in which he won the Scudetto twice, and also the title of ''pluricapocannoniere'', with an unprecedented five top scorer (''Capocannonieri'') awards, more than any other player in the history of the Italian championship. Harry Boye Karlsen
Harry Boye Karlsen (14 March 1920 – 8 January 1994) was a Norwegian international footballer. He was born in Horten, and played 58 games for Norway, scoring four goals, between 1946 and 1956. He was a member of the Norwegian squad that competed at the 1952 Olympics. Karlsen played as a defender or as a wing-half (defensive midfield), and was used as a free kick and penalty taker. During World War II Karlsen played for several British teams. He joined Dundee United in September 1943, playing regularly for them until being posted to England in January 1945. He returned to make a few more appearances later in the year, and also played a single match for Exeter City in October 1945. After the war he joined Lyn and won the Norwegian cup with them in 1946.
