Lester Gatewood
Lester Boyd "Buddy" Gatewood (May 30, 1921 – April 9, 1965) was a center in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Green Bay Packers. Biography Gatewood was born in Dallas, Texas, and played college football at Baylor University and Tulane University. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the eighth round of the 1943 NFL Draft and played two seasons with the team. He died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 43 from a heart attack. Robert Dominic "Bob" Forte (July 15, 1922March 12, 1996) was an American football player for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL). In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center.
