1942–43 Taça De Portugal
The 1942–43 Taça de Portugal was the fifth season of the Taça de Portugal (English: ''Portuguese Cup''), the premier Portuguese football knockout competition, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). Clube de Futebol Os Belenenses was the defending champion but lost in the quarter-finals to Sporting Clube de Portugal. The final was played on 20 June 1943 between Benfica and Vitória de Setúbal. Lusitano Futebol Clube, often known as Lusitano VRSA, is a Portuguese football club from Vila Real de Santo António, in the Algarve region. The club was founded on 15 April 1916 and is the No. 1 delegation of S.L. Benfica, and has Miguel Ângelo Machado Vairinhos as its current president. The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) ( pt, Federação Portuguesa de Futebol; ) is the governing body of football in Portugal.
