Eliteserien
Eliteserien () is a Norwegian professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the Norwegian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Eliteserien was founded in 1937 as Norgesserien (English: ''The League of Norway''), and the first season was the 1937–38 season. The structure and name of Eliteserien, along with Norway's other football leagues, has undergone frequent changes. The top level was renamed ''Hovedserien'' in 1948, ''1. divisjon'' (now used by the second level league in Norway) in 1963, then ''Tippeligaen'' (named for the main sponsor) in 1990. Sarpsborg FK
Sarpsborg Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Sarpsborg, Viken. It was founded on 8 May 1903. Sarpsborg is one of the most successful teams in the Norwegian Football Cup, with six titles and twelve finals in total. In 2007, the club merged into the club that is now called Sarpsborg 08, and today Sarpsborg FK is an amateur club playing in the 4. divisjon, the fifth tier of Norwegian league system. History Sarpsborg played their first cup final as early as 1906, which they lost against Odd. In 1917, in Sarpsborg's third final, the club won its first title after Brann was beaten 4-1. Sarpsborg also won the cup in 1929, 1939, 1948, 1949 and 1951. Harry Yven participated in four of these six championships, the first time as a 17-year-old in 1929 and the last as a 37-year-old in 1949. Frigg Oslo Fotballklubb is a Norwegian sports club from Majorstua in Oslo. It has sections for association football and bandy. History It was founded on 17 May 1904 as ''SK Frigg'', named after Frigg of Norse mythology. It was merged on 21 April 1954 with ''SK Varg''. It took the name ''Frigg Oslo FK'' in 1990. The club colors are white and blue, and the team plays at Marienlyst stadion. It has a training field at Tørteberg not far from Marienlyst. As the name indicates it is mainly a football club. It formerly had a handball team; the women's team became national champions in 1962 and 1964. Mjøndalen IF is a Norwegian sports club located in Mjøndalen, Viken, Norway. Of the different athletic endeavours that the club supports, it may be best known in Norway for its bandy national championship teams and internationally for its association football national championship teams that have competed in UEFA championships. Nydalens SK
Nydalens Skiklub is a Norwegian sports club from Nydalen, Oslo. It was founded in , and has sections for orienteering, Nordic skiing and ski orienteering. The club organized national ski jumping competitions regularly from 1891 to 1953, and had its own ski jumping venue at Korsvoll. In orienteering, the club won national championships in relay in 1954 (men), 1968 (women), 1996, 1997 and 1999 (men), and 2000 and 2005 (women). The club organized the national orienteering championships in relay in 1953, the individual Norwegian championships in orienteering in 1961. and the national championships in 1999. Ski- og Ballklubben Drafn is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Drammen, founded in 1910. The club, which takes its name from the Norse name of Drammen, was founded as a merger of the clubs Ulf (founded 1905) and Njord (founded 1906). In 1916 it incorporated the skiing club Drammen SK (founded 1881). The men's bandy team won the Norwegian national championship 19 times. Ski- og Ballklubben Skiold ("Shield") is a Norwegian sports club based in Strømsø, Drammen. The club is at present mostly active in association football, but has earlier had success in bandy and has also had a department for ice hockey. The club was founded on 7 June 1910 and was originally called ''Bragerøen Idrettsforening''. The club colour is red. Skiold became national champion in bandy in 1939 and 1957. Jevnaker Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Jevnaker. It has sections for association football, speed skating, gymnastics and skiing. Lyn Fotball
Lyn 1896 Fotballklubb () is a Norwegian football club and a department of the sports club Ski- og Fotballklubben Lyn based in Oslo, whose members also participate in Nordic skiing and orienteering. Until 2010, SFK Lyn had two football departments, one professional section and one amateur section. After the professional football department, FK Lyn, was bankrupted in 2010, the fans decided to support the amateur department, Lyn Fotball, instead. With the help of some of the old FK Lyn players, Lyn Fotball has won three consecutive promotions, and are playing in the 3. divisjon. Skeid Fotball
Skeid is a Norwegian football club from Oslo that currently plays in 1. divisjon ( OBOS-ligaen), the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. Its current home field is Nordre Åsen, after the club stopped playing at Bislett after the 2012 season. In past decades it has gained a reputation as a talent factory for the larger clubs in Norwegian football, and it has produced several players for the national team such as Daniel Braaten, Daniel Fredheim Holm, Omar Elabdellaoui and Mohammed Abdellaoue. Other notable players include Paul Miller. Skeid played in 1. divisjon in 2009 after a short stint in the 2. divisjon. They finished champions of the Second Group of 2. divisjon in 2008. Kvik Halden FK
Kvik Halden FK is a Norwegian football club, founded on 19 June 1906. The club plays in the 2. divisjon after their promotion from the 2018 3. divisjon. In 2010 they contested a playoff to win promotion, and succeeded by beating Eik-Tønsberg 5–1 on aggregate. In 1997, a merger between the two Halden-based clubs FK Kvik and Halden FK resulted in the formation of Kvik Halden FK. Long before the merger, FK Kvik was informally known as Kvik Halden anyway, to avoid confusion with the other FK Kvik from Trondheim. FK Kvik was the older and better of the two, but Halden FK had a rather large base of young players. The merger was controversial, and has been criticized by some who claim that the result of the merger was that FK Kvik simply took over Halden FK. Kvik Halden's only major trophy came in 1918, when the club (then FK Kvik) won the Norwegian Cup, defeating Brann in the final.
