Gullow Gjeseth
Gullow Gjeseth (7 May 1937 – 18 January 2017) was a Norwegian military officer. Gjeseth was born in Nærøy, and graduated from the Norwegian Military Academy in 1959. He served as officer in the Hans Majestet Kongens Garde, and was chief of staff at the 6th Division from 1982 to 1985. From 1986 to 1990 he headed the information department of the Norwegian High Command. From 1990 he was commander of the land-based military forces in Norway, and from 1994 he served as director of the . At the time of his retirement he held the rank of major general. From 1996 to 2006 he edited the journal ''Norsk Militært Tidsskrift''. He was also a researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, and he chaired the investigation committee of the Lillehammer affair (1998–2000). Arne Alsåker Spilde (18 April 1937 – 14 March 2024) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. Spilde was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1981, and was re-elected on two occasions. Berge Ragnar Furre (13 April 193711 January 2016) was a Norwegian historian, theologian and politician for the Socialist Left Party. Early life and career Furre was born in Sjernarøy in 1937, the son of engineer Berge Bergesen Furre (1887–1952) and secretary Else Otilie Tjomsaas (1906–1993). He took primary education in Sjernarøy, Stavanger and Oslo, and finished his secondary education in Oslo in 1955. Later that year he enrolled at the University of Oslo. In 1959 he became the leader of the Norwegian Students' Society. He was a member of the Labour Party, but as the chairman of ''Sosialistisk Studentlag'' (1956–1957) he was central to the so-called "Easter Uprising" in 1958. He later left the Labour Party to found the Socialist People Party together with other prominent persons in the Easter Uprising, such as Finn Gustavsen. He was the party secretary from 1961 to 1964. Bjarte Erling Eikeset (22 February 1937 – 22 April 2017) was a Norwegian lawyer, judge and politician for the Conservative Party of Norway, Conservative Party. He was born in Førde. He graduated from the University of Oslo with a cand.jur. degree in 1964, and at that institution he was a research assistant from 1964 to 1965 and lecturer from 1965 to 1969. From 1969 to 1980 he worked as a lawyer in Førde, from 1976 with access to Supreme Court of Norway, Supreme Court cases. In 1980 he was promoted to district stipendiary magistrate in Sunnfjord District Court, Sunnfjord. In 1993 he applied, unsuccessfully, for the position as List of County Governors of Sogn og Fjordane, County Governor of Sogn og Fjordane. He remained in Sunnfjord except for the years 1981 to 1983, and in 2004 he moved to the district stipendiary magistrate chair Fjordane District Court, Fjordane.
