Gullow Gjeseth
Gullow Gjeseth (7 May 1937 – 18 January 2017) was a Norwegian military officer. Gjeseth was born in Nærøy, and graduated from the Norwegian Military Academy in 1959. He served as officer in the Hans Majestet Kongens Garde, and was chief of staff at the 6th Division from 1982 to 1985. From 1986 to 1990 he headed the information department of the Norwegian High Command. From 1990 he was commander of the land-based military forces in Norway, and from 1994 he served as director of the . At the time of his retirement he held the rank of major general. From 1996 to 2006 he edited the journal ''Norsk Militært Tidsskrift''. He was also a researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies, and he chaired the investigation committee of the Lillehammer affair (1998–2000). Nærøy
Nærøy () is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it joined Nærøysund Municipality. It was part of the Namdalen region. Norway's smallest town, Kolvereid, was the administrative centre of the municipality. Some villages in Nærøy included Abelvær, Foldereid, Gravvik, Lund, Ottersøy, Salsbruket, Steine, and Torstad. At the time of its dissolution in 2020, the municipality was the 96th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Nærøy was the 200th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 5,117. The municipality's population density was and its population had increased by 2% over the previous decade. Eiksmarka
Eiksmarka ("Oakfield") is an affluent suburb of the Norwegian municipality of Bærum in the Greater Oslo Region with around 4,000 inhabitants. It is located just west of the border of Oslo municipality, but within the contiguous urban area of Oslo as well as within the Diocese of Oslo. It is served by Eiksmarka station of the Oslo Metro as well as bus lines. The area consists almost exclusively of private villas, with the exception of the central area near Eiksmarka station, known as Eiksmarka Centre. Bærum () is a municipality in the Greater Oslo Region in Norway that forms an affluent suburb of Oslo on the west coast of the city. The Lillehammer affair (Hebrew: פרשת לילהאמר, ''Parshat Lillehammer'', Norwegian: ''Lillehammer-saken'') was the killing by Mossad agents of Ahmed Bouchikhi, a Moroccan waiter and brother of the renowned musician Chico Bouchikhi, in Lillehammer, Norway, on 21 July 1973.
