The Campeonato Paulista Série A1, commonly known as Campeonato Paulista, nicknamed Paulistão, is the top-flight professional association football, football league in the Brazilian States of Brazil, state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo. Luzitano Futebol Clube, commonly known as Luzitano, was a Brazilian football club from São Paulo, São Paulo state. They competed in the Campeonato Paulista three times. History Luzitano Futebol Clube was founded January 1, 1920, by Portuguese expatriates living in Brás neighborhood, São Paulo city, hence the club's name. Anfilogino Guarisi
Amphilóquio Guarisi Marques (26 December 1905 – 8 June 1974) was an Italian Brazilian footballer who played as a forward. In Brazil he was known as Filó () and in Italy as Anfilogino Guarisi (). Throughout his career he played football in both Brazil and Italy, representing both nations at international level, and was a member of the Italian team that won the 1934 FIFA World Cup. Career Born in São Paulo, in 1922 Guarisi started his career in Portuguesa, where his father, Manuel Augusto Marques, was the president. In 1925 he transferred to Paulistano, where he played alongside the legendary figure of Arthur Friedenreich. In the same year, in a friendly match against France on Europe, he scored one of the goals, and the game ended Paulistano 7–2 France. Luís Mesquita de Oliveira, best known as ''Luisinho'', (29 March 1911, in Rio de Janeiro – 27 December 1983, in São Paulo) was an association footballer, one of the most valuable strikers of the 1930s. During his career (1928–1946) he played for Anglo Brasileira, Paulistano, Estudantes São Paulo, São Paulo and Palmeiras. He won seven São Paulo State Championship (1929, 1931, 1936, 1940, 1943, 1945, 1946) and was top goalscorer of Campeonato Paulista in 1944 with 22 goals scored. He's also the six best top goalscorer in São Paulo Futebol Clube history with 145 goals, and nine best goalscorer in Palmeiras history with 123 goals from 1935 to 1941. For the Brazil national football team he scored 4 goals at South American Championship 1937 and participated at the 1934 FIFA World Cup, played one match with Spain in Genoa, and in the 1938 FIFA World Cup, playing two matches. The Estádio Alfredo Schürig, most commonly known as Estádio Parque São Jorge, or Fazendinha, is a football stadium inaugurated on July 22, 1928 in São Paulo, Brazil. It can hold up to 13,969 people.
