Christian X Of Denmark
Christian X ( da, Christian Carl Frederik Albert Alexander Vilhelm; 26 September 1870 – 20 April 1947) was King of Denmark from 1912 to his death in 1947, and the only King of Iceland as Kristján X, in the form of a personal union rather than a real union between 1918 and 1944. He was a member of the House of Glücksburg, a branch of the House of Oldenburg, and the first monarch since King Frederick VII born into the Danish royal family; both his father and his grandfather were born as princes of a ducal family from Schleswig. Among his siblings was King Haakon VII of Norway. His son became Frederick IX of Denmark. His character has been described as authoritarian and he strongly stressed the importance of royal dignity and power. His reluctance to fully embrace democracy resulted in the Easter Crisis of 1920, in which he dismissed the democratically elected Social Liberal cabinet with which he disagreed, and installed one of his own choosing. Ove Verner Hansen
Ove Verner Hansen (20 July 1932 – 20 February 2016) was a Danish opera singer and actor. He played the character, "Bøffen" (or "Biffen" in Norwegian, literally meaning "the steak" in both languages) in 16 of the ''Olsen-banden''-movies (11 danish and 5 norwegian). He played a tall, large, and slow-moving henchman, often seen lifting Egon Olsen up over his head, carrying him under one arm, and trying to kill him. Personal life and career Hansen began his career as an office clerk, but during his early life he also worked as a sailor, miner, lumberjack, and ambulance driver. Born with a deep and voluminous voice, he later began singing professionally, and in 1958 he became accepted into the Danish National Radio Choir. Two years later, in 1960, he joined the renowned Royal Danish Opera Chorus. For several years afterwards he was considered the Royal Danish Opera's primary basso buffo. Charles Gustav Wilhelm Winckler (April 9, 1867 in Frederiksberg – December 17, 1932 in Frederiksberg) was a Danish athlete and tug of war competitor who participated at the 1900 Summer Olympics. Peter Adler Alberti
Peter Adler Alberti (10 June 1851, in Copenhagen – 14 June 1932, in Copenhagen) was a Danish politician and swindler, known for the Alberti scandal of 1908. Family life On 6 October 1876 in the Church of Holmen the 25-year-old barrister (overretssagfører) Alberti married the five years younger Eugenia née Møller. They divorced and on 14 June 1906 in the Church of Our Lady (Copenhagen) he married the eleven years younger Anna Victoria Bendix née Sundberg, residing at Ny Vestergade 17-2. They also divorced. On 1 November 1906 Alberti moved from Ny Vestergade to Sankt Annæ Plads 9-1 where he resided until his arrest. On 20 August 1917 after his release from the State Prison in Vridsløselille he moved to Fælledvej 10 on Nørrebro. Six months later he moved to Gammel Kongevej 141-2 and in 1921 he resided there as a lodger with a small family, where the daughter was a clerk in the ministry of Finance. Christian Hedemann
Christian Jacob Hedemann (25 May 1852 – 18 May 1932) was a Denmark, Danish mechanical engineer who settled in Hawaii in 1878, where he worked at the Hana Sugar Plantation and the Honolulu Iron Works. He is, however, remembered primarily as an avid amateur photographer who helped found the Hawaiian Camera Club (1889–1893). His photographs of native peoples, landscape, family, and industry offer a unique pictorial record of Hawaii at the end of the 19th century. Early life Christian Hedemann was born in 1852 at Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein, which at the time was part of the Kingdom of Denmark. He was the son of Christian August Ferdinand Hedemann (1810-1879), an eminent surgeon in the Danish army, and Caroline Amalie Cloos (1824-1867). After attending primary school in Næstved, he continued his education at Herlufsholm School and graduated with first class honours in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, Polytechnic College in Copenhagen.
