The 1932 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) in the 1932 college football season. The Hurricanes played their home games at Moore Park in Miami, Florida. Led by second-year head coach Tom McCann, the Hurricanes finished their season 4–3–1 and were invited to the first annual edition of the Festival of Palms Bowl, where they defeated the Manhattan Jaspers by a score of 7–0. The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) was one of the first collegiate athletic conferences in the United States. Twenty-seven of the current Division I FBS (formerly Division I-A) football programs were members of this conference at some point, as were at least 19 other schools. South Georgia State College is a public college in Douglas and Waycross, Georgia. It is part of the University System of Georgia. History Eleventh District A & M School On August 18, 1906, the Georgia General Assembly enacted the Perry Act approving the construction of a secondary-level school in each of Georgia's congressional districts. At the time, few rural residents of Georgia received more than an eighth-grade education. The Eleventh District A & M School was one of the eleven (later twelve) educational centers created to cater to the predominantly agricultural-based economy in Georgia. The 1932 Rollins Tars football team was an American football team that represented Rollins College of Orlando, Florida, as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) during the 1932 college football season. In their fourth year under head coach Jack McDowall, the Tars compiled a 6–0–1 record (2–0 against SIAA opponents) and outscored opponents by a total of 91 to 39. It was the first undefeated season in Rollins football history. The victory over Miami (FL) was also the first for a Rollins team. Halfback Will Rogers, described by ''The Orlando Evening Sentinel'' as a "150-pound streak", was the star on offense. Tom McCann
Thomas E. McCann (November 7, 1898 – March 23, 1975) was an American baseball player and coach of football and basketball. He served as the head football coach at Tusculum College in 1924 and at the University of Miami from 1931 to 1934. McCann was also the head basketball coach at Miami during the 1928–29 and 1931–32 seasons. In 1929, he was coaching football at Plant City High School in Plant City, Florida.
