Victor Emmanuel III Of Italy
Victor Emmanuel III (Vittorio Emanuele Ferdinando Maria Gennaro di Savoia; 11 November 1869 – 28 December 1947) was King of Italy from 29 July 1900 until his abdication on 9 May 1946. He also reigned as Emperor of Ethiopia (1936–1941) and King of the Albanians (1939–1943). During his reign of nearly 46 years, which began after the assassination of his father Umberto I, the Kingdom of Italy became involved in two world wars. His reign also encompassed the birth, rise, and fall of Italian Fascism and its regime. During the First World War, Victor Emmanuel III accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Paolo Boselli and named Vittorio Emanuele Orlando (the ''premier of victory'') in his place. Despite being on the winning side of the First World War, Italy did not get all the territories which had been promised to it in the 1915 Treaty of London; the Treaty of Versailles, ending the war, failed to give Italy its demands for Fiume and Dalmatia. Flaminia Jandolo
Flaminia Jandolo (February 11, 1930 – May 22, 2019) was an Italian actress and voice actress. Biography Daughter of writer Rina De Felici, Jandolo began her career in the early 1950s in Rai's radio prose, before addressing to voice acting and dubbing. Among the several actresses she dubbed, there are Brigitte Bardot, Jean Simmons, Joan Plowright, Joanne Woodward, Maggie Smith and Debbie Reynolds. Jandolo was also very active in dubbing many animated characters, including Lady in ''Lady and the Tramp'', the fairy Merryweather in ''Sleeping Beauty'', Perdita in ''One Hundred and One Dalmatians'' and Mrs. Brisby in ''The Secret of NIMH''. Daniele Barioni
Daniele Barioni (6 September 1930 – 5 November 2022) was an Italian opera singer who had a prolific career during the 1950s through the 1970s. Early on in his career he rose to fame as a leading tenor at the Metropolitan Opera between 1956 and 1962. Afterwards he worked primarily in opera houses and concerts throughout the United States, although he did make numerous appearances in both Europe and South America as well. Barioni was particularly associated with the operas of Giacomo Puccini and the roles of Turiddu in Pietro Mascagni's '' Cavalleria rusticana'' and Alfredo in Giuseppe Verdi's ''La traviata''. Training and early career Barioni was born in Copparo, Ferrara. He began his singing studies in 1949 in Milan with Attilio Bordonali, initially studying the baritone repertoire. Nino Cristofori
Nino Cristofori (31 July 1930 – 14 March 2015) was an Italian politician. He was a member of the Chamber for seven legislatures, from 1968 to 1993. He held the position of minister of labor and social security in the Amato I Cabinet. He also acted as the undersecretary in the Italian governments for seven times. Biography Cristofori was born in Ferrara in 1930. He started his career as a journalist when he became the publisher and editor-in-chief of a newspaper entitled ''Avvenire Padano''. Ugo Crescenzi
Ugo Crescenzi (25 April 1930 – 9 January 2017) was an Italian politician and member of the Christian Democrats (DC). Crescenzi served as the first President of the Italian region of Abruzzo from 1970 until 1972. He served a second, non-consecutive tenure as Abruzzo's President from 1973 to 1974. He later became a member of the national Chamber of Deputies from 1987 to 1992 as a DC deputy during the Legislature X. Ugo Crescenzi, who spent decades as a prominent DC official in Abruzzo, is credited with improving the modern infrastructure of the city of Pescara, the capital of the region.
