1928 Norwegian Football Cup
The 1928 Norwegian Football Cup was the 27th season of the Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The tournament was open for all members of NFF, except those from Northern Norway. The final was played at Halden Stadion in Halden on 14 October 1928, and was contested by the defending champions Ørn and the four-time former winners Lyn. Ørn successfully defended their title with a 2–1 victory, securing their third Norwegian Cup trophy. FK Gjøvik-Lyn is a Norwegian football club based in Gjøvik, which was founded on 1 February 1902 as Sportsklubben Thor. They play in the Norwegian Second Division, the third highest division in the Norwegian football league system. Their home ground is Gjøvik Stadion. Ski- og Ballklubben Skiold ("Shield") is a Norwegian sports club based in Strømsø, Drammen. The club is at present mostly active in association football, but has earlier had success in bandy and has also had a department for ice hockey.
