Norway, officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe, the mainland territory of which comprises the western and northernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Kirsten Sørlie
Kirsten Sørlie (5 October 1926 – 23 September 2013) was a Norwegian actress and stage director. Early and personal life Sørlie was born in Askim to engineer Erling Thorbjørn Sørlie and Elisabeth Gjersøe . She was married to Odd Grythe from 1955 to 1958. She was the mother of actress Hilde Grythe, and mother-in-law of violinist Terje Tønnesen. Career Sørlie was educated as ceramist from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry. She made her stage debut as actress at Centralteatret in 1947. She had further engagements at Det Nye Teater and Edderkoppen in Oslo, and at Lilla Teatern in Helsinki, where she had her first commitment as stage director. Back in Oslo in 1965, she had assignments for Riksteatret, Chat Noir, Nationaltheatret and Oslo Nye Teater. Else Granheim
Else Granheim (16 March 1926 – 7 March 1999) was a Norwegian librarian and civil servant. A librarian and eventually director of Statens bibliotektilsyn, she was also involved in legislative work and public commissions, edited library magazines, and served as president of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions. Early and personal life Granheim was born on 16 March 1926 in Oslo to farmer Torstein Brevig and Ingeborg Hauge. After first living with her family in Enebakk, when her parents divorced, she moved with her mother to Trondheim when she was four years old. She married Harald Granheim in 1952. Lauritz Bernhard Sirevaag
Lauritz Bernhard Sirevaag (15 March 1926, Stavanger – 2016) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. On the local level he was a member of Sandnes city council from 1963 to 1971, serving as mayor from 1967 to 1969. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Rogaland in 1969, and was re-elected on one occasion. From 1991 to 1999 he was a member of Rogaland county council. Christian Erlandsen (2 March 1926, Aker – 10 October 2016) was a Norwegian physician and politician for the Conservative Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Hedmark in 1977, and was re-elected on one occasion. He later served as a deputy representative during the term 1989–1993. On the local level he was a member of Stange municipal council from 1963 to 1977 and 1987 to 1995. From 1975 to 1979 and 1987 to 1999 he was a deputy member of Hedmark county council. Erik Bye
Erik Erikssønn Bye (March 1, 1926 – October 13, 2004) was a versatile Norwegian-American journalist, artist, author, film actor, folk singer and radio and television personality. He was one of the 20th century's most well-known and popular radio and television figures in Norway. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Rønnaug (née Dahl) and opera singer Erik Ole Bye, his family moved home to Norway when he was six years old. After a few years in Ringerike they settled in the Nordstrand borough in Oslo, where they took over a bed and breakfast. In his teens, Bye joined the Norwegian resistance movement during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany during World War II. Eva Bergh (25 February 1926 – 19 February 2013) was a Norwegian actress. Eva Bergh was born Eva Johansen at Kolbotn in Oppegård, Norway. Alf Næsheim
Alf Gabriel Næsheim (18 February 1926, Stavanger - 25 December 2014, Bærum) was a Norwegian painter and illustrator, mostly known for his architectural drawings from the city of Oslo, but also for being the first Norwegian artist that illustrated Disney comic book stories featuring Donald Duck. Næsheim was born and grew up in Stavanger. He moved to Oslo in 1945, where he was employed as an illustrator for the Aftenposten newspaper until retiring in 1995. He also illustrated the sports section of the Dagbladet newspaper between 1968 and 1981, as well as having shorter contracts with Stavanger Aftenblad and Jærbladet.
