Kata Dalström
Anna Maria Katarina "Kata" Dalström, née Carlberg (18 December 1858 – 11 December 1923), was a Swedish socialist and writer. She belonged to the leading socialist agitators and leftist writers in contemporary Sweden, and has been referred to as "the mother of the Swedish socialist working class movement". Early life Kata Dalström was born as Anna Maria in Emtöholm, Västervik Municipality, Kalmar County, into the wealthy family of professor Johan Oskar Carlberg and Maria Augusta Carlswärd. Her personality, considered unruly for a girl at the time, earned her the contemporary Swedish moniker , meaning 'intrepid'. She was educated at the girls' school of Emilie Risberg in Örebro from 1868 to 1872, and studied in preparation for a ''studentexamen''. In 1878, she married civil engineer Gustav Mauritz Dalström (1837–1906). Clementine Swartz
Clementine Swartz, née ''Fehrnström'' (15 February 1835, in Uleåborg – 7 December 1923, in Stockholm), was a Swedish stage actress. She belonged to the elite actors of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in 1853-1888. She was the daughter of the actor Robert Fehrnström and Augusta Fredrika Grönlund, and married the actor Edvard Swartz in 1854. Clementine Swartz was engaged in the theater company of Oscar Andersson in 1850-53, at '' Humlegårdsteatern'' in Stockholm in 1853 and, after having made such a successful debut there, she was engaged at the Royal Dramatic Theatre the same year and remained there until she retired from the stage in 1888 (she was made a premier actress in 1868). Alfhild Agrell
Alfhild Teresia Agrell (14 January 1849 – 8 November 1923) was a Swedish writer and playwright. She is known for her works about sexual equality in opposition to the contemporary sexual double standard, and as such a participator in the famous '' Sedlighetsdebatten''. Life She was born to Erik Johan Martin and Karolina Margareta Adolphson, who worked as confectioners. From 1868 until 1895 she was married to the Stockholmer merchant A. Agrell. She was engaged in the contemporary women's movement and the '' Sedlighetsdebatten'', and belonged to the few radical women to wear the reform dress of the Swedish Dress Reform Association in public. Agrell was a member of the women's association Nya Idun after its founding in 1885 and one of its first committee members. On 3 February 1886, Agrell's next play, Ensam (Alone), premiered at the Dramaten in Stockholm. Louise Flodin
Louise Charlotta Kristiana Flodin, née ''Söderqvist'' (17 September 1828 – 20 March 1923), was a Swedish journalist, typographer, feminist and publisher. She was seen as the first woman in Sweden to be given a newspaper licence. Life Flodin was born in Örebro, were her mother managed a school. Originally a teacher in her mother's school, she became an apprentice at a printing shop in 1856, and educated herself in typography, then unusual for a woman. She bought a printing press in Arboga in 1858, and started to publish the ''Arboga Tidning'' (Arboga Paper), which had one number a week. In the beginning, she was the only employee of her paper and performed all the tasks. She employed only women to the paper: this was deliberate, because she wished to educate females to become typographers and journalists and thereby make the profession more available to them.
