The Liga Mexicana de Fútbol Amateur Association, known as the Primera Fuerza, was an amateur football league founded in Mexico in 1902 with five clubs: " Orizaba A.C.", " Pachuca A.C.", " Reforma A.C.", "Mexico Cricket Club" and " British Club". Orizaba won the league in its inaugural year. A total of 37 teams took part in this league from 1902 until 1943, when football in Mexico went professional. History Prior to the Liga Mayor, there was no national football league in Mexico and football competitions were held within relatively small geographical regions. The winners of the ''Primera Fuerza'', a local league consisting of teams in and around Mexican Federal District, was considered the national champion. There were other regional leagues such as the '' Liga Veracruzana'', '' Liga Occidental'' and ''Liga del Bajío'' that also had notable clubs. Real Club España is a Mexican sports club located in Mexico City. Iberia De Veracruz
Iberia de Veracruz was a former Mexican football team that played in the Liga Amateur de Veracruz prior to the professionalization and development of the Mexican first division. The club was established in 1915 and was dissolved in 1943. Liga Amateur de Veracruz Iberia de Córdoba played in the Liga Amateur de Veracruz and became champions in the 1917–18 season. In 1918, after winning the title, the club was invited to play in the Primera Fuerza by Club España to replace España B. Before the start of the 1918–19 season the club decided to switch their name to España Veracruz. Junior Club
Junior Club is a Mexican sports club located in Mexico City. Nowadays the club hosts many sports, mainly tennis and baby football. Junior's Senior football team played in the Mexican Amateur League prior to the professionalization and development of the Primera División de México in 1943. History "Junior Club" was founded in 1906 by initiative of Father Camilo Crivelli (1874–1954), who was in charge of the local church by then. In 1908 Pablo Alexanderson, who lived in San Pedro de los Pinos, a small village in the outskirts of Mexico City, bought the club and mainly used it for the practice of tennis and baseball although football continued to being practised. Germania Fußball-Verein was a football club based in Mexico City that played in the México Primera División from 1915 to 1933. History Beginnings The club was founded in 1915 in a German immigrant community in Mexico City. The founders were Edvard Giffenig, Germán Stuht, Richard Obert, Walter Mues, and Carl Mues. In their first years the club mostly finished last or close to the bottom of the standings. In 1920, the Mexican federation split the tournament into two leagues: the national and the Mexican leagues.
