1914 Pyrenees Cup
The 1914 Pyrenees Cup was the 5th and last tournament of the Pyrenees Cup, one of the first international football club competitions. The competition was held on the road between 1 March and 24 May, and it was won by FC Espanya de Barcelona after beating La Comète et Simiot 3–1 in the final. This was the first time a team other than FC Barcelona won the competition, being finally knocked out by the eventual champions in the semi-finals in an unexpected 2–5 loss. Marca Hispanica
The Hispanic March or Spanish March ( es, Marca Hispánica, ca, Marca Hispànica, Aragonese and oc, Marca Hispanica, eu, Hispaniako Marka, french: Marche d'Espagne), was a military buffer zone beyond the former province of Septimania, established by Charlemagne in 795 as a defensive barrier between the Umayyad Moors of Al-Andalus and the Frankish Carolingian Empire (Duchy of Gascony, the Duchy of Aquitaine and Carolingian Septimania). Cristóbal Salvó Saura, also known as Salvó I (1895 - 17 August 1927), was a Spanish association football, footballer who played as a midfielder for FC Espanya de Barcelona, FC Espanya and RCD Espanyol. Enrique Peris
Enrique Peris de Vargas (27 February 1887 - 17 February 1953) was a Spanish footballer who played as a left winger. He spent most of his career at Barcelona, with whom he played over 300 matches. Club career Born in Barcelona, he began his career in 1903 at FC Internacional. Together with Paco Bru and Charles Wallace, he helped the club achieve three successive runner-up finishes in the Catalan championship between 1904 and 1906, losing out on the title to a different opponent each time, Club Español (now RCD Espanyol) FC Barcelona and X Sporting Club respectively. Jack Greenwell
John Richard Greenwell (2 January 1884 – 20 November 1942) was an English football manager and former player. He is Barcelona's longest serving manager, having coached the club for ten consecutive seasons (initially as player-coach, then as manager), later returning to coach for two more seasons in the 1930s. In 1939, Greenwell became the only non-South American coach to date to win the South American Championship when he guided Peru to their first win. Paulino Alcántara Riestrá (7 October 1896 – 13 February 1964) was a football player and manager who played as a forward. Born in the Philippines, he spent most of his playing career at Barcelona, and also represented Catalonia, the Philippines and Spain internationally. Alcántara made his debut for Barcelona at the age of 15, and remains the youngest player to play or score for the club. Gabriel Bau
Gabriel Bau Fortanete (15 August 1892 – 7 October 1944), was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona, FC Espanya, and a brief spell at RCD Espanyol. Club career Born in Barcelona, he began his career at FC Central in 1909, but the club was dissolved in 1910 and its field was acquired by FC Numancia, and most of the Central players, including Bau, joined Numancia. Percival Francis Wallace Midgley (1890 – 17 November 1949) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Spanish club FC Barcelona. His older brother, Charles, also played for Barcelona. Manuel Amechazurra was a Philippine-born Spanish footballer who played as a defender. His nickname was Amecha. He is best known for his second spell at FC Barcelona, playing a total of 137 games in the first team and scoring 20 goals.
