The 1910 Clemson Tigers football team represented the Clemson Tigers of Clemson Agricultural College during the 1910 college football season. Frank Dobson (American Football)
Frank Mills Dobson (January 10, 1885 – December 1, 1956) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Georgia (1909, with James Coulter), Clemson University (1910–1912), the University of Richmond (1913–1917, 1919–1933), the University of South Carolina (1918), the University of Maryland (1936–1939), and The Apprentice School (1940–1948), compiling a career record of 137–142–24. Dobson was also the head basketball coach at Clemson (1911–1913) and Richmond (1912–1917, 1919–1933) and the head baseball coach at Clemson (1911–1913) and Richmond (1915–1933). The Auburn–Clemson football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Auburn Tigers and Clemson Tigers. Series history The rivalry began in 1899 and was played almost annually up until 1929. It was renewed in 1940 on an annual basis until 1955, with only a three-year break from 1943–45 for World War II. After that, the series became much more intermittent. Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field is the football stadium located at the corner of North Avenue at Techwood Drive on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Clemson–Georgia Tech Football Rivalry
The Clemson–Georgia Tech football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Clemson Tigers football team of Clemson University and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team of Georgia Tech. Both schools are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Since conference expansion in 2005, Clemson represents the Atlantic Division while Georgia Tech plays in the Coastal Division, and they are official cross-divisional rivals which play every year. Clemson won the first four games of the rivalry, but Georgia Tech leads the all-time series 51–32–2. The Clemson–Georgia football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Clemson Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs. It was for many years a spirited "border" rivalry between the two schools that are separated by a mere 70 miles. They met annually from 1897 to 1916, and again from 1962 to 1987 (aside from 1966 and 1972). The majority of meetings in over the first half century took place in Athens and Augusta, Georgia until 1967, not long after Clemson College expanded to University status, when the series shifted to become a more traditional, annual home-away series. 1910 Georgia Bulldogs Football Team
The 1910 Georgia Bulldogs football team represented the University of Georgia during the 1910 college football season. The Bulldogs completed the season with a 6–2–1 record. The team started with two tune-up games that Georgia won by a combined score of 180–0. The Bulldogs notched victories over Alabama and Georgia Tech, ending a five-game losing streak to Tech. Georgia did lose to rival Auburn, but the first season under new head coach W. A. Cunningham was certainly an improvement over prior years. The 1910 season marked the debut of more than a new coach, it also marked the debut of Bob McWhorter, one of the most notable players in Georgia history.
