David Lewis Fultz (May 29, 1875 – October 29, 1959) was an American football and baseball player and coach. He played Major League Baseball as a center fielder in the National League with the Philadelphia Phillies (1898–1899) and Baltimore Orioles (1899), and for the Philadelphia Athletics (1901–1902) and New York Highlanders (1903–1905) of the American League. He batted and threw right-handed. In a seven-season career, Fultz posted a .271 batting average with 223 RBI and three home runs in 644 games played. Fultz played college football and college baseball at Brown University, from which he graduated in 1898. He served as the head football coach at the University of Missouri (1898–1899), Lafayette College (1902), Brown (1903), and New York University (1904), compiling a career college football coaching record of 26–19–2. The Plain (West Point)
The Plain is the parade field at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. The flat terrain of the Plain is in contrast to the varied and hilly terrain of the remainder of the campus. The Plain rises approximately above the Hudson River and has been the site of the longest continually occupied U.S. Army garrison in America since 1778. In its early years, the entire academy was located on the Plain and it was used for varying activities ranging from drill and mounted cavalry maneuvers to an encampment site for summer training to a sports venue. 1904 Army Cadets Football Team
The 1904 Army Cadets football team represented the United States Military Academy in the 1904 college football season. In their first season under head coach Robert Boyers, the Cadets compiled a record, shut out five of their nine opponents, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 136 to 27. The team's two losses were to Harvard and Princeton. In the annual Army–Navy Game, the Cadets defeated the Midshipmen Five members of the squad were honored by one or both of Walter Camp (WC) and Caspar Whitney (CW) on the All-America team. Ohio Field is the main outdoor athletic facility at Bronx Community College in the University Heights neighborhood of The Bronx in New York City. The field consists of a baseball diamond and large, natural grass outfield, surrounded by a 200-meter running track. Bronx Community College's athletics teams use the field for baseball and men's soccer. Early in the 20th century, Ohio Field was the main outdoor athletic venue for New York University, which occupied the University Heights campus until 1973.
