The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) was one of the first collegiate athletic conferences in the United States. Georgetown is a home rule-class city in Scott County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 37,086 at the 2020 census. It is the 6th-largest city by population in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The Kentucky Military Institute (KMI) was a military preparatory school in Lyndon, Kentucky, and Venice, Florida, in operation from 1845 to 1971. James Gamble Nippert Memorial Stadium is an outdoor stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Primarily used for American football, it is the home field of the Cincinnati Bearcats football team. Centre–Kentucky Rivalry
The Centre–Kentucky rivalry was an intercollegiate sports rivalry between Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. The two school first met in football in 1891 and basketball in 1906. The two rivals last played in 1929 in both sports. Football Football series Game in 1918 cancelled due to flu epidemic. Fred Schacht
Frederick E. Schacht (c. 1875 – December 1, 1906) was an American college football coach, player, and medical doctor. He served as the head football coach at Kentucky State College—now known as the University of Kentucky—from 1904 to 1905, compiling a record of 15–4–1. Early life and college A native of Minneapolis, Schacht joined the United States Army during the Spanish–American War and served with the 13th Minnesota Volunteers. He then attended the University of Minnesota, and was initiated as a member of the Nu Sigma Nu professional medical fraternity on March 9, 1901. He played on the football team as a tackle in 1903, and the 216-pound Schacht was reportedly "a terror on offense." He starred in Minnesota's 1903 victory over Wisconsin, but gained his greatest acclaim for his role in that season's game against Michigan.
