Monarchy Of Norway
The Norwegian monarch is the head of state of Norway, which is a constitutional and hereditary monarchy with a parliamentary system. The Norwegian monarchy can trace its line back to the reign of Harald Fairhair and the previous petty kingdoms which were united to form Norway; it has been in unions with both Sweden and Denmark for long periods. The present monarch is King Harald V, who has reigned since 17 January 1991, succeeding his father, Olav V. The heir apparent is his only son, Crown Prince Haakon. The crown prince undertakes various public ceremonial functions, as does the king's wife, Queen Sonja. The crown prince also acts as regent in the king's absence. Ivar Jacobsen Norevik
Ivar Jacobsen Norevik (26 March 1900 – 18 March 1956) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Lavik og Brekke. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Sogn og Fjordane in 1945, and was re-elected on two occasions. Midway through the third term, he died and was replaced by Edvard Anderson Solheim. Ole Rømer Aagaard Sandberg (21 July 1900 – 26 August 1985) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Centre Party. He chaired the Norwegian Agrarian Association from 1951 to 1955 and was a member of Parliament from 1957 to 1965. Ole Hegge
Ole Hegge (September 3, 1898 – June 2, 1994) was a Norwegian cross-country skier and ski jumper who competed in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Hegge was born in Bardu. His best-known finish was a silver medal in the 18 km event at the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz. Hegge also finished fifth in the 50 km event in 1928, fourth in the 50 km event at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, and fourth in the 50 km event at the 1926 Nordic skiing World Championships. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. During the Viking Age the area was part of Viken. Oslo was founded as a city at the end of the Viking Age in 1040 under the name Ánslo, and established as a ''kaupstad'' or trading place in 1048 by Harald Hardrada.
