The 18th Quebec Legislature is the provincial legislature that existed in Quebec, Canada from August 24, 1931, to October 30, 1935. The Liberal Party led by Louis-Alexandre Taschereau had a majority of seats in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec and remained in power in the government. Saint Gontrand (c. 532 in Soissons – 28 March 592 in Chalon-sur-Saône), also called Gontran, Gontram, Guntram, Gunthram, Gunthchramn, and Guntramnus, was the king of the Kingdom of Orléans from AD 561 to AD 592. William-Pierre Grant
William-Pierre Grant (June 3, 1872 – August 25, 1943) was a politician Quebec, Canada and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec (MLA). Early life He was born on June 3, 1872 in Chicoutimi, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. He made career in the lumber industry. Member of the legislature Grant won a by-election as a Liberal candidate in the district of in the provincial district of Champlain in 1925. He was re-elected in 1927 and 1931. He did not run for re-election in 1935. He was succeeded by Ulphée-Wilbrod Rousseau of the Action libérale nationale. Death He died on August 25, 1943 in Batiscan, Mauricie. The Conservative Party of Quebec (french: Parti conservateur du Québec) was a political party in Quebec, Canada, from 1867 until 1936, when it merged with members of the Action libérale nationale to form the Union Nationale. Pierre-Émile Côté
Pierre-Émile Côté (December 7, 1887 – August 3, 1950) was a Canadian politician. Born in Lévis, Quebec, the son of Pierre Côté and Joséphine Émond, Côté was educated at the Séminaire de Québec, the Académie commerciale de Québec, Collège de Lévis, and the Université Laval in Quebec City. He was called to the Bar of Quebec in 1913. He practised law in New Carlisle from 1919 to 1942. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Quebec for the Liberals in a 1924 by-election for Bonaventure. He was acclaimed in 1927 and re-elected in 1931 and 1935. He was Minister of Highways from March to August 1936; however, he was defeated in 1936. He then turned to federal politics and was elected to the House of Commons of Canada for the Liberals in a 1937 by-election for Bonaventure.
