Anna Magdalena Stecksén (May 27, 1870 – October 15, 1904) was a Swedish scientist, physician and pathologist. She was the first female Doctor of Medicine in Sweden. Henrik Reuterdahl
Henrik Reuterdahl (11 September 1795 in Malmö – 28 June 1870 in Uppsala) was a Swedish Lutheran clergyman who served as the Church of Sweden archbishop of Uppsala from 1856 to his death. Biography Born in Malmö, he was orphaned at an early age and had to rely on others for his education and support. Despite this he managed to get a higher education at the Lund University in theology, philology and Church history, influenced by local academic dignities such as Erik Gustaf Geijer as well as the works of the German Schleiermacher that had just become appreciated in Lund. He later published a thorough history of the Church in Sweden (4 volumes, 1838–1866). Reuterdahl served as an associate professor at the theological seminary until 1826 and in 1844, he became a professor of dogma. Sigfrid Edström
Johannes Sigfrid Edström (11 November 1870 – 18 March 1964) was a Swedish industrialist, chairman of the Sweden-America Foundation, and 4th President of the International Olympic Committee. Early life Edström was born in the tiny village of Morlanda, on the island of Orust, Bohuslän. He studied at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, where he graduated in 1891, and continued studying at ETH Zürich in Switzerland, and the United States. In his youth, he was a top sprinter, capable of finishing the 100 m in 11 seconds. He was the director of the Gothenburg trams from 1900 to 1903, where he was in charge of electrifying them, and of the electrotechnical company ASEA from 1903 to 1933, and president of ASEA's board from 1934 until 1939. Edström was involved in Swedish sports administration, and helped organise the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. Hilma Swedahl
Hilma Swedahl, née ''Wounsch'' (2 October 1870 – 2 July 1965) was a Swedish-American gold prospector and the founder of the Swedish tourist village of ''Alaska i Strömstad''. Hilma Wounsch was born on the island of Syd-Hälsö, Strömstads kommun in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. She was the daughter of a fisher in Bohuslän. During the spring of 1896, she traveled to New York City, where she worked as a domestic. After four years, she left for Alaska and the Klondike Gold Rush. She joined a group of young people in Dawson with whom she reached the gold camp near Ruby, Alaska. She lived alone in the wilderness for fifteen years until she married John Swedahl, a gold prospector originally from Trondheim, Norway. The couple visited Sweden in 1912 and in 1928. After the last visit, Hilma Swedahl remained in Sweden, while her husband returned to the United States. Anna Lindhagen
Anna Lindhagen (7 April 1870 in Stockholm – 15 May 1941 in Stockholm) was a Swedish politician (Social Democrat), social reformer and women's rights activist. In collaboration with Anna Åbergsson, she was a leading force in the introduction of Allotment (gardening), allotment in Sweden. She was one of the driving forces behind the foundation of the National Association for Women's Suffrage (Sweden), National Association for Women's Suffrage. Lindhagen was a member of the Stockholm City Council in 1911–1923. Life Anna Lindhagen was the daughter of Albert Lindhagen and the sister of Carl Lindhagen and Arthur Lindhagen.
