Amanda Röntgen-Maier
Amanda Röntgen-Maier (20 February 1853 – 15 July 1894) was a Swedish violinist and composer. She was the first female graduate in music direction from the Royal College of Music, Stockholm, Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 1872. Biography Amanda Maier was born into a musical home in Landskrona and discovered her musical talent early. Her first instruction in violin and piano was from her father. At the age of sixteen, Maier began studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she studied violin, organ, piano, cello, composition and harmony. Maier performed violin concerts in both Sweden and abroad. She continued to study composition with the conservatory teachers Reinecke and Richter in Leipzig and violin from Engelbert Röntgen, concert master at Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Gewandhaus Orchestra in the same city. Maria Johanna Görtz, also known as ''Jeanette Görtz'', (1783–1853), was a Swedish artist, still life painter and drawing artist. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts. Maria Westberg
Maria Charlotta Westberg (3 February 1853 – 4 December 1893), was a Swedish ballerina. Westberg was born in Stockholm to the litographer Peter Magnus Westberg and Hedvig Maria Lönnqvist. She was a student dancer of the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1860, a premier student dancer in 1867, and a second dancer in 1870-1872. She was engaged at the Royal Danish Ballet in 1872-1890, where she enjoyed a successful career as a Premier solo dancer in 1875-1890. Westberg was engaged at the Royal Danish Ballet on request of August Bournonville. Bournonville was searching for someone who could be able to replace his retiring primadonna Betty Schnell, and noticed Westberg during his guest performance at Royal Swedish Ballet in Sweden in 1871. Maria Westberg was a star of the Royal Danish Ballet during the 1870s and 1880s, when she performed the female main part of a number of ballet performances.
