Helena Munktell
Helena Mathilda Munktell (24 November 1852 – 10 September 1919) was a Swedish people, Swedish composer. Biography She was born at Grycksbo in Dalarna County, Sweden. She was the youngest of nine children of Henrik Munktell (1804–1861) and Christina Augusta Eggertz (1818-1889). Her mother lived separately in Stockholm and after her father died, the family moved there. Her sister Emma Josepha Sparre (1851–1913) was a painter. Munktell studied music at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm, Stockholm Conservatory with :sv:Conrad Nordqvist, Conrad Nordqvist, :sv:Johan Lindegren, Johan Lindegren, Ludwig Norman and :sv:Joseph Dente, Joseph Dente, and then in Vienna with Julius Epstein (pianist), Julius Epstein. She studied both piano and voice, and continued her education in composition in Paris with Benjamin Godard and Vincent d'Indy. Her debut as a composer took place in Sweden in 1885. Mor Kerstin I Stämmemand-Kinna
Kerstin Andersdotter (1774–1852), known as Mor Kerstin i Stämmemand-Kinna ('Mother Kerstin of Stämmemand-Kinna'), was a Swedish textile industrialist. She was an important figure within the Swedish textile industry in the first half of the 19th century, managing a major cotton industry through the putting-out system in around the countryside of Kinna in Västergötland. In 1840, 80 percent of all cotton textiles sold from Sweden was sold from the Kinna area. Life She was born in the rural area of Kinna as the daughter of the wealthy farmer Anders Jonsson and Elin Larsdotter, and married in 1800 to the wealthy farmer Erik Andersson (1772–1813). Her husband was the owner of the farm Stämmemand in Kinna, hence her own soubriquet. She had five children: two sons (one surviving to adulthood) and three daughters. Laura Bergnéhr
Laura Bergnéhr (died 1852) was a Swedish actress. She is known as the mistress of king Charles XV of Sweden. Laura Bergnéhr was the daughter of lieutenant Lars August Bergnéhr and the courtesan Lovisa Spångberg (her mother later married the nobleman and court official Axel Fredrik Liljenstolpe), and the cousin of Zelma Hedin and Leocadie Gerlach. Bergnéhr was an actress and made her debut at the ''Mindre teatern'' in 1847. Among her roles there where Cordelia in King Lear. Her stage career, however, seems to have been moderate. Ulrika Åberg
Ulrika Åberg (1771–1852) was a Swedish ballerina. She was active in the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1782-95. She was one of the first native ballet dancers in the Royal Swedish Ballet. Life Ulrika Åberg was engaged as a Coryfé in the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1782-85, as a second dancer in 1785-87, and as a premier ballerina in 1787-95. She was a student of the star ballerina of the Gustavian ballet, the Italian ballerina Giovanna Bassi, from the age of twelve. She was educated in the Italian style of ballet dancing by Bassi, and followed her mentor in her style and parts. She was considered as one of her country's first native ballet dancers. Her most popular part was in the ballet ''Tillfälle för Tjuven'', where she made a success. Aurora Wilhelmina Brahe née Koskull (22 November 1778 – 19 February 1852) was a Swedish lady-in-waiting and politically active salonist. Life Aurora Wilhelmina Koskull was the daughter of the courtier Baron Otto Anders Koskull and Amalia Beata Silfversparre. Court service In 1797, Koskull became one of the first ''hovfröken'' (maid-of-honor) appointed to the new queen, Frederica of Baden. In 1800, the queen's maids-of-honor were dismissed by the king because of many scandals involving their love affairs, and replaced with ''statsfru'' (married ladies-in-waiting). Impoverished, Koskull moved in with her aunt, Ulrika Katarina Koskull, and her aunt's wealthy husband, Count Magnus Fredrik Brahe (1756-1826). Prince Gustaf of Sweden and Norway, Duke of Uppland (''Frans Gustaf Oscar'', 18 June 1827 – 24 September 1852), also known officially as Gustav, was the second son of Oscar I of Sweden and Josephine of Leuchtenberg, and the younger brother of Prince (from 1844 Crown Prince) Charles. Life During his childhood he was placed in the care of the royal governess countess Christina Ulrika Taube. He was a trained musician and under the artist's name of ''G*****'' a well known composer. In Sweden, he is remembered for having written a couple of well-known songs. His ''The Student Song'' (''Studentsången'') is traditionally sung at the graduation festivities for gymnasium students, and his ''Spring Song'' (''Vårsång'') is often performed by men's choruses on Walpurgis night.
