Carl Adolph Grevesmühl
Carl Adolph Grevesmühl (1744–1827) was a Swedish businessman from Stockholm. His furniture business made him a very rich man. He was commissioned by King Gustav III of Sweden to furnish Stockholm Castle. Grevesmühl owned the Zinkensdamm estate between 1790 and 1811, and in 1810, he bought Herresta Herresta is a large estate in Södermanland County in Sweden, located outside Mariefred. Emma Schenson
Emma Sofia Perpetua Schenson (21 September 1827 – 17 March 1913) was a Swedish photographer and painter. She was one of the earliest female professional photographers in Sweden. Biography Born in Uppsala on 21 September 1827, Schenson was the daughter of the academy treasurer John Schenson and the school administrator Maria Magdalena Hahr. There are no records of her education or of how she became familiar with photography. By the 1860s, she had opened a studio in Uppsala, becoming one of Sweden's earliest female professional photographers and the first to establish a business in Uppsala. In addition to photographs of Uppsala Cathedral, she produced a series of some 20 albumen prints as a tribute to the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus (1707–1778). In the 1880s and 90s, she produced a further technically perfect series of the cathedral showing the progress and results of restoration work. Hilda Elfving
Hilda Vilhelmina Elfving (8 September 1827 – 8 January 1906) was a Swedish educator. Elfving was born and died in Stockholm. She was the daughter of Johan Isak Elfving, lector at Stockholms gymnasium. Emil Von Qvanten
Emil von Qvanten (22 August 1827 – 5 December 1903) was a Finnish-Swedish poet, librarian, publisher and politician. He was born in Pori; throughout his life Finland was governed as the Grand Duchy of Finland, part of the Russian Empire. Agnes Börjesson
Agnes Fredrika Börjesson, sometimes called Agneta (1 May 1827, Uppsala – 26 January 1900, Alassio, Italy), was a Swedish painter who specialized in Genre art, genre and historical scenes. Biography Her father, Johan Börjesson, was a pastor and playwright. Her mother was a member of the noble Fock family. In 1849, she became one of the first four women admitted to the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts and, from 1852 to 1853, studied with Constantin Hansen, who had recently spent a decade working in Italy. From 1854 to 1856, she studied with the portrait and history painter, Johan Christoffer Boklund. In 1857, she completed her studies with Benjamin Vautier (Swiss artist), Benjamin Vautier, an exponent of the Düsseldorf School. This is a list of Swedish kings, queens, regents and viceroys of the Kalmar Union. History The earliest record of what is generally considered to be a Swedish king appears in Tacitus' work '' Germania'', c. 100 AD (the king of the Suiones). However, due to scant and unreliable sources before the 11th century, lists of succession traditionally start in the 10th century with king Olof Skötkonung, and his father Eric the Victorious, who also were the first Swedish kings to be baptized. There are, however, lists of Swedish pagan monarchs with far older dates, but in many cases these kings appear in sources of disputed historical reliability.
