Christian Holm (painter)
Christian Frederik Carl Holm (18 February 1804, Copenhagen – 24 July 1846, Tivoli) was a Danish painter; known primarily for his animal and hunting scenes. Biography His father was a goldsmith. As an only son, he was expected to follow his father's profession, but after arriving at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, decided to become an artist instead. Anne Cathrine Collett
Anne Cathrine Collett (19 February 1768 – 27 January 1846), was a Norwegian-Danish landowner and one of the wealthiest women of Denmark in her time. Collett was born into the wealthy Collett family of timber merchants in Christiania (now Oslo). Her parents were Peter Collett (1740–86) of Buskerud and Maren Kirstine Holmboe (1745–68). She married Peter Nicolaj Arbo who subsequently entered the family's company Collett & Søn. The couple moved to Copenhagen where they lived in the Peschier House at Holmens Kanal 12. He acquired the country house Aldershvile north of Copenhagen and the manors of Lundbygård and Oremandsgaard at Præstø Præstø () is a town with a population of 3,857 (1 January 2022) in Vordingborg Municipality in Region Sjælland on the east coast of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland''). Holger Roed
Holger Peter Roed (2 November 1846 – 20 February 1874), was a Danish painter, born in Copenhagen to painter Jørgen Roed and wife Emilie Mathilde. He had a promising artistic career ahead of him when he died at the age of 27. He was one of two children, along with Helena, in the lively and cultured artistic Roed household. He started his training at the Royal Danish Academy of Art (''Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi'') in 1861, won the small silver medallion in 1864, and graduated in 1866. He received the small gold medallion in 1868 for "''Den fortabte Søn''" ("The Prodigal Son") and the large gold medallion in 1870 for "''Optrin af Syndfloden''" ("A Scene from the Great Deluge"), both of which are in the collection of the Academy. He received a travel grant from the Academy which allowed him to travel 1870-1872 to Italy (Rome and Naples). Towards the end of his tour in Italy he became sick and returned home.
