Poul Reichhardt
Poul David Reichhardt (2 February 1913 – 31 October 1985) was a Danish actor, well known for his roles in Danish 1940s/1950s comedies. Later on, he also played more serious and varied roles; he has also starred in '' Huset på Christianshavn'', ''Matador'' and as various minor characters in the ''Olsen-banden'' films. For almost thirty years Reichhardt was a leading Danish heroic charmer in movies and partly also on stage. His acting debut was in 1931 as an extra in the play ''Styrmand Karlsens flammer'' in Nørrebros Theater. Already during the 1930s he won himself a name, this was cemented during World War II and from 1945 he stood as the movie hero par excellence: the plain, regular, quick-witted, sometimes hot-tempered, but often humorous man playing in melodramas and comedies. Marie Kofoed
Marie Kofoed, née ''Bohn'' (19 January 1760 - 20 April 1838), was a Danish businessperson, landowner and philanthropist. She was a local patriot and played an important part in the history of Bornholm. Life She was born to the businessman Morten Bohn (1719-1802) and Barbara Kirstine Ancher (1725-1771) in Rønne. She married businessman Jochum Herman Ancher (1746-1786) in 1776, and the merchant and landowner Hans Peter Kofoed (1743-1812) in 1786. She belonged to the Bornholm elite by birth and both her marriages. Career After the death of her second spouse, she managed his affairs and estate and became a major landowner and business person. She both inherited a fortune and expanded it, and she used spent a great part of her money charity. Poul Martin Møller
Poul Martin Møller (21 March 1794 – 13 March 1838) was a Danish academic, writer, and poet. During his lifetime, he gained renown in Denmark for his poetry. After his death, his posthumously published fiction and philosophical writings were well received. He also devoted several decades of study to classical languages and literature. While serving as a professor at the University of Copenhagen, he was a mentor to the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. Life and career Møller was born near Vejle and raised on the island of Lolland, where his father served as a pastor. As a young man, his father tutored him in classical languages and literature. In 1812 he enrolled in the University of Copenhagen and studied theology. He also taught religion at a nearby school during this time. Vilhelm Rosenstand
Vilhelm Jacob Rosenstand (31 July 1838 – 11 March 1915) was a Danish painter and illustrator. His best known work is a mural decorating the banqueting hall in the University of Copenhagen. Biography Born in Copenhagen, Rosenstand attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1858 and took private lessons from his teacher Wilhelm Marstrand. He also studied at Léon Bonnat's school in Paris (1881–82). He first exhibited at Charlottenborg in 1861 with ''Genrebillede fra Vendsyssel'' before serving as a lieutenant in the Second Schleswig War in 1864. His war experiences are reflected in works such as ''Fra Saxarmen ved Dannevirke. Morgen efter Bustrup-Fægtningen'' for which he was awarded the Neuhausen Prize (''De Neuhausenske Præmier'') in 1865. Julius Lange (art Historian)
Julius Henrik Lange (19 June 1838, Vordingborg – 19 August 1896, Copenhagen) was a Danish art historian and critic. Life In 1858, he began his studies at the University of Copenhagen. A few years later, he accompanied a wealthy gentleman to Italy and, while there, developed an interest in art history. In 1870, he became a lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and, a year later, transferred to the University. In 1877, he became a member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. His brother was Carl Lange, the psychologist. Works He wrote about ancient and contemporary art.
