Elma Ström
Elma Charlotta Ström (3 April 1822, Bro – 14 July 1889, Stockholm), was a Swedish opera singer. Life Elma Ström was born in Bro in Uppland, the daughter of a farmer, and was raised in the home of a relative, the parish vicar Ekström on Mörkö. Ekström socialized with the local aristocracy and Elma Ström entertained his guests with singing. She attracted attention for her ability as a singer, and it was suggested that she perform for an expert. In 1836, she was accepted as a student in the operatic class of the ''Dramatens elevskola'' after demonstrating her ability to Isak Albert Berg. She was lodged in the pension of Kristina Fundin, mother of Wilhelmina Fundin, and friend of her fellow student Jenny Lind. Maria Nilsdotter i Ölmeskog (1756–1822) was a Swedish farmer in Väse Hundred in Värmland County, who was awarded a Royal Citizens Medal after having prevented a rebellion during the disturbances after the death of Charles August, Crown Prince of Sweden in May 1810. Adolf Ludvig Gustav Fredrik Albert Badin né ''Couchi'', known as Badin (1747 or 1750 – 1822) was a Swedish court servant (Kammermohr) and diarist. Originally a slave, he was the foster son and servant of Queen Louisa Ulrika of Sweden and a servant to his foster sister Princess Sophia Albertine of Sweden. His original name was Couchi, but he was commonly known as ''Badin'' ('mischief-maker' or 'trickster'). Early life Badin was born either in Africa or in the Danish island Saint Croix. He himself said that the only thing he remembered about his past was his parents' hut burning, but it is not known whether this happened in Africa or in Saint Croix. It is known that he lived in Saint Croix during his childhood. Nils Lorena Sjöberg. Nils Lorens Sjöberg (4 December 1754 in Jönköping – 13 March 1822 in Stockholm) was a Swedish officer and poet. He was the first holder of seat 18 at the Swedish Academy, from 1787 to 1822. Sjöberg was born in Jönköping to a working-class family. At fourteen years of age, he began his studies in Jönköping School. He continued his studies at the University of Lund. Sjöberg was set on becoming a priest, but later reconsidered. Instead, he entered the Foreign Expedition in 1782. Bengt Nordenberg
Bengt Nordenberg (April 22, 1822 – December 18, 1902) was a Swedish artist. He belonged to the Düsseldorf school of painting and is best known for his genre paintings with everyday life scenes from the Dalarna, Skåne and Blekinge areas of Sweden. He moved to Düsseldorf in the 1850s. Biography Nordenberg was born at Jämshög in Blekinge County, Sweden. He was one of nine siblings born to Per Jönsson Nord (1785-1854) and his wife Sissa Bengtsdotter (b. 1792). He grew up in poverty and became an apprentice to a painter in Sölvesborg. In 1843 he fulfilled his wish to come to Stockholm and study at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts. In the autumn of 1851, he went to the Düsseldorf Academy, where first Theodor Hildebrandt and then later, Adolph Tidemand became his teachers.
