Jørgen Balthazar Winterfeldt
Jørgen Balthazar Winterfeldt (1 October 1732 - 22 July 1821) was a Danish naval officer and philanthropist. He was admiral from 1804 and was awarded the Order of the Elephant in 1811. He established Winterfeldts Stiftelse at Klerkegade 25 in Copenhagen in 1805. He was chief of the Naval Cadet Academy in from 1782 until 1792. Early life Winterfeldt was born in Fredericia, the son of lieutenant ved Erik Winterfeldt (1697-1741) and Nille Winterfeldt née Dalhoff (1701-52). Career Winterfeldt served as page for Countess Reventlow in 1742 and became a cadet in 1743, Ge became a second lieutenant in 1753. Ulrich Wilhelm De Roepstorff
Ulrich Wilhelm de Roepstorff (12 July 1729 – 2 April 1821) was a Danish colonial administrator and landowner. He served as Governor-General of the Danish West Indies from 177273. He owned a couple of ships that sailed in the Danish West Indies Trade as well as a sugar refinery in Odense. In 1810, on the basis of his Funen estates, acquired after his return to Denmark, he was able to establish the County of Roepstorff. He was succeeded as Count of Roepstorff by his nephew Alexander von Petersdorff. Early life and education Roepstorff was the son of major and later colonel lieutenant Christian Frederik de Roepstorff (1689–1741) and Christiane Marie de Röbern (1703–75). He was most likely born in Oldenburg. Career Roepstorff became a volunteer cadet in 1741, a cadet in 1746 and a second lieutenant in 1753, In 1757, he was promoted to first lieutenant. Heinrich Hansen (painter)
Heinrich Hansen (23 November 1821, Haderslev – 10 July 1890, Frederiksberg) was a Danish architectural painter and State Councillor. His son, Adolf Heinrich-Hansen, was also an architectural painter. Biography His father was a cloth dyer who originally came from Flensborg. After some time as a journeyman painter, he went to Copenhagen in 1842 to enroll at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts with the intention of becoming a decorative painter. Before the year was out, he had begun assisting with the decorations at the Thorvaldsen Museum. He also attended the modeling classes and won a silver medal in 1846 for his live model painting. Axel Kittendorff
Axel Theodor Kittendorff (19 October 1821 - 8 March 1868) was a Denmark, Danish Woodcut, xylographer. Early life and education Kittendorff was born on 19 October 1821 in Copenhagen, the son of master weaver Johann Adolph Friedrich Kittendorff (1793–1849) and Anna Amalie Elisabeth Kuhn (1797–1864). After his confirmation, he became an apprentice in xylographer Andreas Flinch's workshop while at the same time attending classes at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He exhibited his first woodcuts at Charlottenborg Palace, Charlottenborg when he was in his early twenties. He spent 1848–49 abroad, working as a xylographer in Berlin and Leipzig. Career Back in Denmark, in 1849, Kittendorff and Johan Aagaard established their own workshop under the name Kittendorff & Aagaard.
