17th Seiyu Awards
The 17th Seiyu Awards was held on March 11, 2023, at the JOQR Media Plus Hall in Minato, Tokyo. The winners of the Merit Awards, the Kei Tomiyama Award, the Kazue Takahashi Award, and the Synergy Award were announced on February 21, 2023. The rest of the winners were announced on the ceremony day. Starting this year, "Best Lead Voice Actor," "Best Supporting Voice Actor," and "New Voice Actor" will no longer be separated by gender. Voice acting in Japan is an industry where actors provide voice-overs as characters or narrators in media including anime, video games, audio dramas, commercials, and dubbing for non-Japanese films and television programs. In Japan, and actresses have devoted fan clubs due to a crossover with the idol industry, and some fans may watch a show merely to hear a particular voice actor. Many voice actors have concurrent singing careers and have also crossed over to live-action media. There are around 130 voice acting schools in Japan. Broadcast companies and talent agencies often have their own troupes of vocal actors. Chisato Nishikigi
is one of the two main characters of the Japanese anime television series ''Lycoris Recoil'', created by Spider Lily and Asaura. She is depicted in the series as the most skilled agent among the Lycoris, a group of trained young female agents working for the secretive organization Direct Attack and are assigned to maintain the peace and stability of Japan. She has abnormal reflexes, being able to dodge bullets even at near point-blank range. However, she is a pacifist, working as a waitress at LycoReco, a café affiliated with Direct Attack, and choosing to use rubber bullets that can only temporarily knock enemies unconscious, putting her often at odds with the secretive and lethal nature of Direct Attack's operations. Anna Nagase
is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with 81 Produce. Some of her notable roles include Ushio Kofune in '' Summer Time Rendering'' and Hack in ''Yurei Deco''. Biography Nagase was born and raised in Tokyo. She had been performing and acting since she was young, and through her school activities and presentations, she "felt the wonder of acting in front of others."
