Henrik Hertz
Henrik Hertz (25 August 1797 – 25 February 1870) was a Danish poet. Biography He was born of Jewish parents in Copenhagen. In 1817 he was sent to the university. His father died in his infancy, and the family property was destroyed in the bombardment of 1807. The boy was brought up by his relative , a well-known newspaper editor. Young Hertz passed his examination in law in 1825. He lived in the South of France. But his taste was all for literature, and in 1826-1827 two plays of his were produced, ''Hr. Burchardt og hans Familie'' (''Mr. Burchardt and his Family'') and ''Kjærlighed og Politi'' (''Love and Policy''); in 1828 followed the comedy of ''Flyttedagen'' (''Moving Day''). In 1830 he brought out what was a complete novelty in Danish literature, a comedy in rhymed verse, '' Amors Genistreger'' (''Cupid's Strokes of Genius''). Jørgen Wichfeld (1729–1797)
Jørgen Wichfeld (born Jørgen Wichmand, 1 July 1729 19 December 1797) was a Danish landowner, industrialist and deputy district judge from Lolland-Falster who was ennobled by letters patent on 23 July 1888. He owned Engestofte on Lolland, Ukriksdal and from 1774 to 1787 also Nordfeld on Møn. Biography Jørgen Wichmand was born at Engestofte in the island of Lolland as the oldest of two sons of Bertel Wichmand (1677-1732) and Bodil Cathrine Wichmand née From (died 1760). Mariane Bournonville née ''Jensen'' (1768–1797), was a Danish ballerina. She was active at the Royal Danish Ballet in 1784-1796, and is counted as among the elite of her profession at the time, famed for her performance within comedie ballet. Marie Cathrine Preisler née Devegge (1761–1797), was a Danish stage actress. She was active at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1778-97, and a member of the ''Det Dramatiske Selskab'' in 1777-79.
