Christian VI
Christian VI (30 November 1699 – 6 August 1746) was King of Denmark and Norway from 1730 to 1746. The eldest surviving son of Frederick IV and Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow, he is considered one of Denmark-Norway's more anonymous kings, but he was a skilled politician, best known for his authoritarian regime. He was the first king of the Oldenburg dynasty to refrain from entering in any war. During his reign both compulsory confirmation (1736) and a public, nationwide school system (1739) were introduced. His chosen motto was "''Deo et populo''" (for God and the people). Early years Christian was born on 30 November 1699 at Copenhagen Castle as the second but eldest surviving son of King Frederick IV of Denmark by his first consort, Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow. Elisabet Spiegelberg
Elisabet Spiegelberg, also called ''Denner-Spiegelberg'', née ''Denner'' ( Nuremberg 1681 - Hamburg, 1757), was a German actress and theater director. She was one of the first actresses to become famous in Scandinavia, and later became the leader of one of the most known theater companies touring in Scandinavia prior to the establishment of a local theater there. Life Elisabet Spiegelberg was the daughter of the German actor known as Denner the Elder and sister of the Harlequin actor known as Denner the Younger. The whole family was engaged at the famous Velthen Company, who often toured Scandinavia in Denmark, Sweden and Norway from at least the late 1690s onward. Morten Leuch
Morten Leuch (15 April 1732 – 24 January 1768) was a Norwegian timber trader and landowner. He was the owner of Bogstad Manor at Sørkedalen . Biography Morten Leuch was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of merchant Peter Mortensen Leuch (1692–1746) and Anna Catharina Hellesen. His father had founded the company Collett & Leuch together with Peter Collett (1694–1740). After several years of education abroad, Morten Leuch returned to Norway in 1754 and joined the company Collett & Leuch with his future brother-in-law James Collett (1728–1794). Leuch was the owner of Bogstad (''Bogstadgodset''), which he inherited in 1756 after his grandmother's death. He was married in 1758 to Mathia Collett, (1737-1801) the sister of his partner. Christian Braunmann Tullin wrote the poem "Maidagen" to their wedding. Leuch died at the age of 36 in 1769. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. Even Hammer (1 July 1732 – 22 February 1800) was a Norwegian civil servant. He was born in Ringsaker is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway.
