Lucas Van Valckenborch
Lucas van Valckenborch or Lucas van Valckenborch the Elder (Leuven, c. 1535 – Frankfurt am Main, 2 February 1597) was a Flemish painter, mainly known for his landscapes. He also made contributions to portrait painting, and allegorical and market scenes. Wouter Abts (in French, Gautier Abts) was born at Lier, near Antwerp, possibly in 1582. He was a pupil of Willem de Vos (Guillaume de Vos in French). Little is known about his life.
