13 Ah Visnaa Dhehaas
''13 Ah Visnaa Dhehaas'' is a 2012 Maldivian political comedy short film directed by Abdulla Muaz. Produced by Mohamed Abdulla under Dhekedheke Ves Productions, the film stars Abdulla, Niuma Mohamed, Ismail Rasheed and Fathimath Azifa in pivotal roles. The entire film was shot in R. Ungoofaaru. At the 3rd Maldives Film Awards ceremony, the film was nominated in eight categories. Premise The film revolves around the conflict of two political parties, Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) and Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) where two couples representing each party involves in political and personal complications in regards to the 2013 Presidency of Maldives. The film also incorporates several actual footage from the campaign events held by MDP. The film ends with PPM activist, Hussein Fulhu ( Mohamed Abdulla) and MDP activist, Ismail Fulhu (Ismail Rasheed) unintentionally divorcing their respective wives, Zuleykha (Fathimath Azifa) and Mariyam Zeeniya ( Niuma Mohamed). Abdulla Muaz
Abdulla Muaz is a Maldivian film actor, editor and directors and officers and Career Muaz made a brief appearance in Yoosuf Shafeeu directed horror film '' Edhathuru'' (2004) which revolves around eight friends who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival. The film garnered critical appreciation specially for its sound effect and was a commercial success. Moomin Fuad and Ali Shifau's critically appreciated crime film '' Heylaa'' (2006) featured Muaz as a drug user. The film narrates the story of a fourteen years old ambitious boy who finds himself unknowingly being involved in smuggling of a revolver. It was the first Maldivian film to be shot in high-definition digital video. Though the film received positive reviews from critics, it was a commercial failure. 2013 Maldivian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in the Maldives in 2013. The first round of voting was held on 7 September, with no candidate receiving a majority of the vote. A second round was planned for 28 September, to be contested by the top two candidates, former President Mohamed Nasheed (who was contesting the election following his controversial resignation amidst the 2011–12 Maldives political crisis with the aim of returning to the presidency after what he claimed was a coup d'état orchestrated by his deputy and successor Mohammed Waheed Hassan) and Abdulla Yameen, paternal half-brother of former president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom; incumbent President Hassan had come fourth and was eliminated. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee
Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother. His performance was well noted by judges and received several prizes. The success was followed by his next performance, the song "Theyravaa" which caught the attention of a member from the local music band Zero Degree Atoll, who insisted him to perform a different version of the song in the ''Fannaanunge Muzikee Eid Show'' (1992). Mohamed Nasheed
Mohamed Nasheed GCSK (; born 17 May 1967) is a Maldivian politician and activist currently serving as the 19th speaker of the People's Majlis since May 2019. A founding member of the Maldivian Democratic Party, he served as President of the Maldives from 2008 until his resignation in 2012. He is the first democratically elected president of the Maldives and the only president to resign from office.
