Telugu Script
Telugu script (), an abugida from the Brahmic family of scripts, is used to write the Telugu language, a Dravidian language spoken in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as several other neighbouring states. Old Telugu () is the earliest attested stage of the Telugu language. Old Telugu is attested in various inscriptions, labels and as early loanwords in the literature of several other languages. Etymology The term పాత తెలుగు ''pāta telugu'' is the Modern Telugu word, referring to the Old Telugu language. Classical Languages Of India
The Indian Classical languages, or the Śāstrīya Bhāṣā ''(Hindi)'' or the Dhrupadī Bhāṣā (''Assamese, Bengali'') or the Abhijāta Bhāṣā (''Marathi'') or the Cemmoḻi (''Tamil''), is an umbrella term for the languages of India having high antiquity, and valuable, original and distinct literary heritage.
