Željko Krajan
Željko Krajan (;; born 3 February 1979) is a Croatian tennis coach and former professional player. Playing career Krajan, a native of Varaždin, began playing tennis at age six.. Retrieved on June 9, 2008 His greatest success as a junior player was winning the Orange Bowl doubles tournament with Ivan Ljubičić in 1995. Krajan started his pro career at the ATP Tour in 1997. His highest ATP ranking was No. 88 in August 2002. In 2003 Krajan was sidelined following a shoulder surgery. In 2004 he suffered a serious quadriceps tear, which ultimately caused his retirement from professional tennis in 2005. Coaching career From 2005 on, Krajan turned to coaching, at first working with Saša Tuksar, a young Croatian tennis player, and then with German junior players as Heinz Günthardt's assistant coach. Saša Tuksar
Saša Tuksar (born 12 May 1983) is a former professional tennis player from Croatia. Tuksar made the second round of the Croatia Open in 2003, beating Albert Montañés, who retired hurt after losing the first set. It would be the only match he won on the ATP Tour. The Croatian played in two French Opens during his career. He lost to 12th seed Nikolay Davydenko in the first round of the 2005 French Open. The following year he returned to Roland Garros and was drawn up against another Russian, Mikhail Youzhny, who beat him in four sets. He appeared in two Davis Cup ties for the Croatian team. In 2004 he played in Croatia's World Group play-off with Belgium. He took part in a singles rubber, which he lost to Olivier Rochus, although Croatia would go on to win the tie. Jelena Janković ( sr-Cyrl, Јелена Јанковић, ; born 28 February 1985) is a Serbian former tennis player. A former world No. 1, Janković reached the top ranking before her career-best major performance, a runner-up finish at the 2008 US Open. Janković won 15 WTA Tour singles titles and two doubles titles, with career highlights that include winning the 2007 Wimbledon mixed-doubles title partnering Jamie Murray. The Croatia men's national tennis team represents Croatia in the Davis Cup and is governed by the Croatian Tennis Association. It is captained by Vedran Martić.Croatia won the Davis Cup twice, in 2005 and 2018, and was runner-up in 2016 and 2021. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. Dominika Cibulková
Dominika Cibulková (; born 6 May 1989) is a Slovak former professional tennis player. She is the 2016 WTA Finals champion, becoming the fourth player (after Serena Williams in 2001 WTA Tour Championships, 2001, Maria Sharapova in 2004 WTA Tour Championships, 2004 and Petra Kvitová in 2011 WTA Tour Championships, 2011) to win the tournament on her debut. She won eight WTA Tour singles titles and two on the ITF Women's Circuit, ITF Circuit. ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' () is a Croatian daily newspaper published in Split. The first issue of ''Slobodna Dalmacija'' was published on 17 June 1943 by Tito's Partisans in an abandoned stone barn on Mosor, a mountain near Split, while the city was occupied by the Italian army. Dejan Vojnović (born 23 March 1975) is a retired Croatian sportsperson. He started his career as a sprinter specializing in the 100 metres run, and competed at the 2000 Olympic Games.
