Žana Lelas
Žana Lelas (28 May 1970 – 15 September 2021) was a Croatian professional basketball player. She represented Yugoslavia and Croatia in basketball and is regarded as one of few players to have represented two nations at international level. She was married to Vjekoslav Lokica, a renowned football coach. Career Zana Lelas was the winner of the bronze medal with the Yugoslavia U16 team at the 1987 FIBA European Championship. She was also the top scorer of the 1987 FIBA U-16 European Championship averaging 26.6 points per game. Lelas was part of the Yugoslavian side that clinched the silver medal in the women's basketball competition at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She was a key member of the Yugoslavia U19 side which emerged as runners-up to the Soviet Union at the 1989 FIBA Under-19 World Championship. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. Yugoslavia Women's National Under-16 Basketball Team
The Yugoslavia women's national under-16 basketball team ( sh, Kadetska košarkaška reprezentacija Jugoslavije) was the girls' basketball team, administered by Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia, that represented SFR Yugoslavia in international under-16 (under age 16) women's basketball competitions, consisted mainly of the European Championship for Cadettes, nowadays known as the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship for Women. After the dissolution of SFR Yugoslavia in 1991, the successor countries all set up their own national under-16 teams. Nova TV is a Croatian free-to-air television network launched on 28 May 2000. It was the first commercial television network with national concession in the country and from 2004 until 2018 it was fully owned by the Central European Media Enterprises. In 2018, Direct Media purchased Nova TV and Doma TV. Overview As the first Croatian commercial television network, Nova TV made the Croatian TV viewers familiar with reality shows when first showing the American shows such as '' Survivor'' and '' Temptation Island''. The Ronchetti Cup (called till 1996 ''European Cup Liliana Ronchetti'') was an annual women’s basketball European club competition held by FIBA between the years 1972 and 2002. It was the second competition in European basketball, after the European Cup For Women’s Champions Clubs (later renamed EuroLeague Women). It was replaced in 2002 by the EuroCup Women which is the absolute equivalent.
