Šárka Vaňková
Šárka Vaňková (born 30 October 1987) is a Czech singer. Biography She was born in Chrudim and raised in Jirkov. She was a contestant on ''Česko hledá SuperStar'' (aka Pop Idol) in 2004. After finishing in second place with 621,235 votes, Vaňková released her first CD. In May 2006, she released her second album called ''Teď a Tady'' ("Now And Here") which is a mix of pop and funky music with elements of jazz or even swing. Chrudim
Chrudim () is a town in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 23,000 inhabitants. It is the second largest town of the region. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. Administrative parts Chrudim is made up of town parts of Chrudim I–IV and villages of Medlešice, Topol, Vestec and Vlčnov. Geography Chrudim is located about south of Pardubice. Jirkov
Jirkov (; german: Görkau) is a town in Chomutov District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 19,000 inhabitants. Jirkov creates a conurbation with Chomutov. Česko Hledá SuperStar
Česko hledá SuperStar is the Czech version of the Idol series. It is broadcast on Czech TV Nova, first series in spring 2004, the second a year later, the third series in autumn 2006. The show was very popular in 2004, with an audience of more than 3.5 million people (35% of the country's population) and a large amount of media attention. The further series' rating were rather lower. In 2008, the program was superseded by the X Factor. However, Czech broadcaster TV Nova and the broadcaster of the Slovak version of Idol, TV Markíza, confirmed that both versions would be joined into one. The latest version is called ''Česko Slovenská Superstar'' ("Czech(o) Slovak Superstar"), which started in September 2009. Most (city)
Most (; german: Brüx; la, Pons) is a city in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 63,000 inhabitants. It lies between the Central Bohemian Uplands and the Ore Mountains, approximately northwest of Prague along the Bílina River and southwest of Ústí nad Labem. Administrative parts Most is made up of eight city parts and villages: Most, Starý Most, Čepirohy, Komořany, Rudolice, Souš, Velebudice and Vtelno. * Rudolice is home to the Chanov housing estate, created during the communist era, which has become a symbol of the poverty and ghettoization of many Romani people in the Czech Republic. * Vtelno used to be a village near Most.
