Å koda Kodiaq
The Å koda Kodiaq is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by the Czech automaker Å koda Auto since 2016. The vehicle sits in Å koda's D-SUV, above the Å koda Kamiq and Å koda Karoq. The vehicle is based on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform, shared with a new generation of Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace and the SEAT Tarraco. It offers the seven-seat configuration, unlike the smaller Å koda Karoq that only has two-row seating. Winfried Vahland (born 1 April 1957 in Beckum, Germany) was the chairman of the board and CEO at Škoda Auto, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. The Å koda Karoq is a compact crossover SUV (C-segment) designed and built by the Czech car manufacturer Å koda Auto. Introduced in 2017, the vehicle is based on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform, and replaced the Å koda Yeti. The car slots between the smaller Å koda Kamiq and the larger Å koda Kodiaq. The name Karoq is derived from Aleutian language, spoken by the native inhabitants of Alaskan island Kodiak. The Å koda Kamiq is a subcompact crossover SUV ( B-segment), launched by the Czech car manufacturer Å koda Auto in the end of June 2019, nearly two years after the larger Å koda Karoq was launched in Europe in September 2017.
