Şımarık
"Şımarık" (, "Spoilt"), also known as "Kiss Kiss", is a 1997 song by Turkish singer Tarkan. It was written by Sezen Aksu, with music credited as composed by Tarkan. However, Tarkan later admitted in a 2006 interview that this had been done without Aksu's consent, who was the true copyright owner. It formed part of Tarkan's album '' Ölürüm Sana''. "Şımarık" was released in France in 1998 and the rest of the world in 1999, from the compilation album ''Tarkan'', which was released in Europe. It has sold two million copies all across Europe. Many versions of the song were recorded in different languages, most notably the English-language cover, titled "Kiss Kiss", by Greek-American singer Stella Soleil in 2001, which was itself covered by Australian actress Holly Valance in 2002. Tarkan (singer)
Tarkan Tevetoğlu (; born 17 October 1972) is a Turkish singer-songwriter. Since the early 1990s, with the successful sales of his albums, he has been a prominent figure of pop music, recognized in Turkey and worldwide. Tarkan was born and raised in Alzey, Rhineland-Palatinate. In 1986, he moved to Turkey together with his family. Tarkan, who had been interested in music since his childhood, went to high school at Karamürsel and took music lessons. In the following years, he met the owner of İstanbul Plak, Mehmet Söğütoğlu, and signed a contract to release his own album. Tarkan released his first album '' Yine Sensiz'' in late 1992 with "Kıl Oldum" being chosen as its lead single. ''Tarkan'' is a 1999 compilation album by Tarkan, composed of songs released in his 1994 A-Acayipsin and 1997 Ölürüm Sana albums. It was initially released in France in 1998 but due to the success of his single "Şımarık", it was given a wider European release on 1 April 1999, with 14 tracks. ''Ölürüm Sana'' (''I'd Die For You'') is Tarkan's third studio album, released on July 5, 1997. The album was distributed in both Europe and Asia. It sold more than 3 million copies in Turkey, and a total of 4.5 million worldwide, and sales continued till 2003. "Şıkıdım" (; "Shake") is a song by Turkish singer Tarkan. It was originally released on his 1994 album lending its title to the album's name, '' Aacayipsin (Hepsi Senin Mi?)''.
