Şevval İlayda Tarhan
Şevval İlayda Tarhan (born 4 February 2000) is a Turkish sports shooter competing in the 10 m air pistol event. She is the holder of the European women's team record and an Olympic silver medal. Sport career Tarhan started her sports shooting career encouraged by her mother. Already in her childhood, she was interested in firearms and uniforms, and so dreamed of a policewoman or a military woman career, although there are no such people in the family. She has been competing in the 10 m air pistol event since 2015. She is a member of Ankara Ottoman Shooting Club. At the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Changwon, South Korea, she set a new national junior record with 237.9 points, and won the gold medal in Junior category. At the 2019 European 10 m Events Championships in Osijek, Croatia, Tarhan set a new European Junior record in the 10 m air pistol event, and took the gold medal in the Junior category. ISSF 10 Meter Air Pistol
The 10 meter air pistol is an Olympic shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). It is similar to 10 meter air rifle in that it is shot with 4.5 mm (or .177) caliber air guns at a distance of 10 metres (11 yards), and that the match consists of a qualification round of 60 competition shots within 75 minutes. If an Electronic Scoring System (EST) is not available, 15 minutes are added to the time limit. Competitors are allowed to shoot an unlimited amount of shots during the 15 minutes preparation and sighting time. Along with the 50 meter pistol, it is considered a precision shooting event. Thus, numerous shooters compete in both events. There are some restrictions on the pistol regarding its dimensions, weight and trigger pull weight. Seher Tokmak (born 12 April 1999) is a Turkish sports shooter competing in the 10m air pistol event. She set new national records. Sport career She won the junior team event at the 2015 National Sovereignty Aİr Firearms Cup. At the 2015 Atatürk Air Firearms Cup, she placed third in the individual, and second in the team event of the junior category. At the 2022 European 10 m Events Championships in Hamar, Norway, she and her teammates Şevval İlayda Tarhan and Elif Beyza Aşık set a new European women's team record in 10 m with 861 points. In April 2023, she set a new national record with 577 points, and became champion in the Turkish Universities Shooting Championship. She defended her title the next year's championship. Elif Beyza Aşık (born 4 September 1994) is a Turkish sports shooter competing in the 10m air pistol event. She set new national and European women's team records. She is also a licensed coach. Sport career Representing her university at the Turkish Universities Shooting Championship in Sakarya, she placed third in the individual event in 2016, and became the runner-up in the team event in 2017. She and her teammates set a new national record in the senior women's team event at the 2018 Turkish Air Firearms Championship in Mersin, and won the first place. She took part at the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran, Algeria, placing sixth. Yusuf Dikeç (born January 1, 1973 in Taşoluk, Göksun, Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey) is a Turkish sport shooter competing in the pistol events. A retired non-commissioned officer of the Turkish Gendarmerie, the tall athlete at is a member of Jandarma Gücü Sports Club. Early years Yusuf Dikeç was born 1973 in Taşoluk village of Göksun district in Kahramanmaraş Province. After his primary schooling in his village, he completed his secondary education in Göksun. In 1994, he enrolled to the Military School of Gendarmerie in Ankara. After graduation, he became a corporal and entered duty in Mardin. In 1999, Dikeç entered the Military School of Gendarmerie.
