Şahap Kavcıoğlu
Şahap Kavcıoğlu (born 23 May 1967) is a Turkish banker and politician. He was a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and was the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey from 2021 to 2023. He is also a contributor to the newspaper ''Yeni Safak'' and is described as a supporter of the economic policies of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Education He graduated in economics at the Dokuz Eylül University and followed up on his studies at the Istanbul University obtaining a degree as an Audit Specialist. He studied Business Administration at Hasting's College in England. In 2003, he earned a Ph.D from the Banking and Insurance Institute of the Marmara University. Grand National Assembly Of Turkey
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey ( ), usually referred to simply as the GNAT or TBMM, also referred to as , in Turkish, is the Unicameralism, unicameral Turkey, Turkish legislature. It is the sole body given the legislative prerogatives by the Constitution of Turkey, Turkish Constitution. It was founded in Ankara on 23 April 1920 amid the Turkish War of Independence, National Campaign. Mehmet ÅžimÅŸek (born 1 January 1967) is a Turkish politician and economist, who has been serving as the List of Finance Ministers of Turkey, Minister of Treasury and Finance since 4 June 2023. He was the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey from 24 November 2015 until the office's abolition on 9 July 2018. 2023 Turkish Presidential Election
Turkish presidential elections, Presidential elections were held in Turkey in May 2023, alongside 2023 Turkish parliamentary election, parliamentary elections, to elect a President of Turkey, president for a term of five years. Dubbed the most important election of 2023, the presidential election went to a Two-round system, run-off for the first time in Turkish history.
