İzmir Metro ( tr, İzmir Metrosu) is a metro system in İzmir, Turkey that is in the process of being extended with new stations being put in service. The current system, consisting of one line, starts from Fahrettin Altay station Göztepe in the southern portion of the metropolitan area and runs towards northeast to end at Evka-3 in Bornova. İzmir's metro line is long, and serves 17 stations as of 26 July 2014. Overview By 1990, it was thought that the existing public transport system in Izmir could no longer support the growing population. Konak is a district of İzmir Province in Turkey. Elektrik Su Havagazı Otobüs Troleybüs ( en, Electricity, Water, Coal Gas, Bus, Trolleybus) or ESHOT is a bus service operating in the İzmir. M1 (İzmir Metro)
The M1, also known as the Fahrettin Altay–Evka 3 Line ( tr, Fahrettin Altay–Evka 3 Hattı), is the only active line of the İzmir Metro in İzmir, İzmir, Turkey. The line runs from Fahrettin Altay (İzmir Metro), Fahrettin Altay station in the west to Evka 3 (İzmir Metro), Evka 3 station in the east, consisting of 17 stations. Hatay, İzmir
Hatay is a large quarter (or a zone; ''semt'') of the city of İzmir, Turkey. Administratively, Hatay forms part of the metropolitan district of Konak, İzmir's historic center along the southern shores of the tip of the Gulf of İzmir, and the largest and the most central of the nine districts that constitute the metropolitan area today.
