David Černý
David Černý (born 15 December 1967) is a Czech sculptor. His works can be mainly seen in many locations in Prague. Early life Černý was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia. From 1988 to 1994 he studied at the Kurt Gebauer Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and in 1995 and 1996 he participated in the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program, New York, US. In 1994-1995 he took the PSI artists residence, New York, US and in 1996 he received the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant. In 1991 he took a Residency of the Swiss Government in Boswil, Switzerland Career He gained notoriety in 1991 by painting a Soviet tank pink, to serve as a war memorial in central Prague. As the Monument to Soviet Tank Crews was a national cultural monument at that time, his act of civil disobedience was considered vandalism and he was briefly arrested. Ervín Černý-Křetínský (1913 in Podomí – 30 July 2001 in Prague) was a physician and Professor of Charles University in Prague. Biography He acquired his college education in 1933 in the Cieszyn Silesia Region where he had lived since age 12. He studied medicine in Brno. Jakub Černý (born March 5, 1987) is a Czech professional ice hockey player. He is currently a free agent. Jan Černý
Jan Černý (4 March 1874, in Uherský Ostroh, Moravia, Austria-Hungary – 10 April 1959, in Uherský Ostroh, Czechoslovakia) was a Czechoslovak civil servant and politician. He was the prime minister of Czechoslovakia from 1920 to 1921 and in 1926. He also served as the provincial president (governor) of Moravia in 1918–1920, 1921–1928 and 1929–1939. Harald Cerny (; born 13 September 1973) is an Austrian former professional footballer who played as a right midfielder. He played mostly for TSV 1860 Munich. Club career After coming through the youth ranks at Admira Wacker, Cerny began his professional career at German club FC Bayern Munich in 1992–93, making his top division debut on 27 October 1992, in a 1–1 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt. Just after the start of the 1993–94 season (he appeared in three matches for the eventual champions), Cerny returned to Admira, where a good league season prompted a move to FC Tirol.
