Øyafestivalen
Øyafestivalen is an annual Norwegian music festival held in the Tøyen Park, Oslo. It has grown quickly since its modest start in 1999 and has become one of Norway's biggest and most important music festivals. The festival has previously featured musicians like Kanye West, Sonic Youth, Iggy and The Stooges, Arctic Monkeys, Babyshambles, Morrissey, and Beck. The festival lasts for four days in the main park area, and is preceded by a club night where the festival holds concerts in more or less all of Oslo's central clubs. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Tøyen Park () is a park in Oslo, Norway. It is located to the north-east of the old Munch Museum and neighbours the University of Oslo Botanical Gardens. Tøyen Park is an expanse of grass-covered hills, dotted with clusters of large trees. Like most parks in Oslo, Tøyen Park is a popular recreation area. During summer, groups of people barbecue and fly frisbees, while during winter, tobogganing down the hills is popular. Tøyen Park attracts birdwatchers, where frequently seen birds include the hawfinch. Middelalderparken
The Medieval Park () is located in the borough of Gamle Oslo in Oslo, Norway. The park was opened in the year 2000 at Sørenga in what was once the southern part of the medieval city of Oslo. The park is located within an area which also included the Minneparken and Oslo Ladegård, Ladegården on the north side of Bispegata. Development in the area is prohibited due to ruins and cultural layers above and below ground. Kalvøya, Bærum
Kalvøya () is situated in the inner Oslofjord. The island is close to Sandvika in Bærum and to the south of it. The island has been connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge to Kadettangen since 1962 or 1963. Kalvøya is one of the most popular bathing spots in Bærum. On the far east side of the island there is a nude beach. Kalvøya plays host to an annual soccer tournament for kids and a children's festival. The festival Øyafestivalen, first held in 1999, also has its roots there, before its growing popularity brought about its move to Tøyen Park in Oslo in 2014. Kalvøyafestivalen
Kalvøyafestivalen was a Norwegian music festival arranged at Kalvøya in Bærum nearby Oslo, Norway. The festival was initiated by people connected to the folk club Hades at the art center on Høvikodden. The festival was started by Sten Randers Fredriksen in 1971. The festival was officially closed in 1998. The breakthrough for the festival was in 1973 when Frank Zappa appeared on stage outside Sandvika. Cloroform
Cloroform is a Norwegian alternative rock band that formed in 1998 in Stavanger. They started out as an acoustic jazz trio, but soon went on to sound more like a rock band. Briskeby is an electropop band from Larvik, Norway. Bjørn Bergene, Claus Heiberg Larsen and Bård Helgeland are from Larvik, while Lise Karlsnes is from Tønsberg. Asian Dub Foundation (ADF) is an English electronic music band that combines musical styles including rap rock, dub, dancehall, ragga, ReggaeEDM, and South Asian music. The group also includes traditional rock instruments such as electric bass and guitar, which acknowledges a punk rock influence. Amulet was a hardcore punk band based in Oslo, Norway, formed in 1993 by Torgny Amdam and disbanded in 2007. During the 14 years they were active, they released four albums, three EPs and four 7" records. ''Blessed and Cursed'' is a compilation album of their best songs.
