Blaabjerg
Until January 1, 2007, Blaabjerg (Danish: Blåbjerg - literally blue mountain) was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Ribe County on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 254 km2, and had a total population of 6,509 (2005). Its latest mayor was Preben Olesen. The site of its municipal council was the town of Nørre Nebel. The municipality was created in 1970 due to a ("Municipality Reform") that combined the following parishes: Henne, Kvong, Lunde, Lydum, Lønne, Nørre Nebel, and Ovtrup Parish. Blaabjerg municipality ceased to exist due to ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). Christian Rabjerg Madsen (born 24 March 1986 in Silkeborg) is a Danish politician, who has served as Minister of the Interior and Housing since 2022. He has been a member of the Folketing for the Social Democrats political party since 2015. A European Commissioner is a member of the 27-member European Commission. Each member within the Commission holds a specific portfolio. The commission is led by the President of the European Commission. In simple terms they are the equivalent of government ministers. Appointment Commissioners are nominated by member states in consultation with the commission president, who then selects a team of commissioners. This team of nominees are then subject to hearings at the European Parliament, which questions them and then votes on their suitability as a whole. If members of the team are found to be inappropriate, the president must then reshuffle the team or request a new candidate from the member state or risk the whole commission being voted down. The 2008 EHF European Men's Handball Championship (8th tournament) was held in Norway from 17 to 27 January, in the cities of Bergen, Drammen, Lillehammer, Stavanger and Trondheim. Jan Kristiansen (born 4 August 1981) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Biography Kristiansen made his Danish Superliga debut for Esbjerg fB in the 1999–2000 season, which ended in the club being relegated to the Danish 1st Division. Jacob Stilling-Andersen
Jacob Stilling-Andersen (24 June 1858 - 18 February 1933) was a Danish dairy manager and businessman. He played a central role in the foundation of a number of co-operative dairy companies in the 1870s and 1880s before founding The Danish Butter Export Union Ltd. in 1902. He served on the board of the Port of Copenhagen from 1913 and was its vice chairman from 1926. Mette Magrete Tvistman
Mette Magrete Tvistman (1741, Frørup – 9 February 1827, Snejbjerg) was a Danish artist (clockmaker). She is known in Danish history as the first female clockmaker in her country. Mette Magrete Tvistman was the daughter of the blacksmith and clockmaker Christen Jensen (1703–1781) and Maren Nielsdatter (1700–1791). She married the clockmaker Johan Ahlert Tvistman (1721–1769) in 1760, and had two children. In 1771, she married the farmer Christen Jensen, and had a daughter, but quickly divorced him. She was engaged to a son of the influential cleric Ude Haahr of Holstebro in 1788, but broke the engagement, which was regarded a scandal.
