Öznur Cüre
Öznur Cüre Girdi (, born 1 October 1997) is a Turkish Paralympian archer competing in the women's compound bow W2 event. She is Paralympics, world and European champion, and holds a world records. Sport career During her physical therapy for paralysis in hospitals away from home, Cüre started playing sitting volleyball. She did not continue with this sport, however. After completing her physical therapy, she returned to Istanbul, and started her sport career in para archery in 2019, when she met para archer Bahattin Hekimoğlu, who invited her to join the Okçuluk Vakfı Sports Club. She is tall at . She competes in the W2 wheelchair disability class of compound bow events. She is coached by Elanur Karakoç and Hasan Basri Hancı. 2020 Cüre ranked fourth in the Compound Women Open Individual and Compound Open Mixed Team event with teammate Murat Turan at the 6th Fazza Para Archery World Ranking Tournament in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Kağıthane
Kağıthane (, also ''Kâğıthane''), formerly Sadâbad () and Glykà Nerà (Greek: Γλυκά Νερά, , 'sweet waters') is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. European Para Championships
The European Para Championships is a multi-sport event contested by para-athletes from European nations. The championships have been awarded the status of regional games by the European Paralympic Committee and offer qualification opportunities for the Paralympic Games. The Championships are partly analogous with the European Games, taking place a year before the Paralympic Games and endorsed by the EPC, and with the European Championships in that they represent a combination of selected European championships in different sports. Bülent Korkmaz (born 5 March 1975) is a Turkish Paralympian archer competing in the Men's compound bow event. Early life Bülent Korkmaz was born on 5 March 1975. He lives in Biga town of Çanakkale Province, where he is employed by the municipality. Sporting career Korkmaz won with the national team a silver medal at the 2014 European Para Archery Championships in Nottwil, Switzerland, a silver medal at the 2015 World Para Archery Championships in Donaueschingen, Germany, and a gold medal at the 2016 European Para Archery Championships in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, France. Bahattin Hekimoğlu
Bahattin Hekimoğlu (born 12 January 1989) is a Turkish world and European champion para-archer competing in the men's recurve bow W1 (wheelchair) event. Early years Hekimoğlu was born in the Şişli district of Istanbul, Turkey on 12 January 1989. After finishing high school in 2006, Hekimoğlu was about to enroll at Sakarya University. During the summer vacation that year, he went with his friends to Heybeliada, Istanbul to swim. Hekimoğlu hit the seabed after he jumped headfirst into the sea from the pier. He broke his neck, could not get out of the water, drowned, and his heart stopped. He was rescued by a physician, and was rushed to a hospital. He later learned that he was paralyzed following surgery for the spinal cord injury. He was not able to walk, and did not leave his home for the next two years. In 2008, his life changed when he received a motorized wheelchair from the "Türkiye Omurilik Felçlileri Derneği - TOFD" ("Turkey Spinal Cord Paralytics Association"). ...
