Óttarr Proppé
Óttarr Olaf Proppé (born 7 November 1968) is a former Icelandic politician. He is a musician, actor, former Reykjavík City Councilor (Best Party 2010-2014) and former Member of Parliament ( Bright Future 2013-2017). Óttarr was elected chairman of the party in 2015. He was a member of the rock band HAM in the years 1988–1994, as well as being the lead singer of the rock-cabaret band Dr. Spock. He also starred in several movies, including ''Sódóma Reykjavík'' from 1992, and '' Nói Albinói'' and ''Angels of the Universe'' from 2000. The Eurovision Song Contest 2008 was the 53rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Belgrade, Serbia, following the country's victory at the with the song "Molitva" by Marija Šerifović. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), the contest was held at the Belgrade Arena, and (for the first time) consisted of two semi-finals on 20 and 22 May, and a final on 24 May 2008. Pollapönk
Pollapönk are an Icelandic punk-inflected children's music band which represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, with their song "No Prejudice". History Pollapönk was founded in 2006 by singer Heiðar Örn Kristjánsson and lead guitarist Haraldur Freyr Gíslason, both of the rock band Botnleðja. The pair, who were studying to work as teachers, wanted to create music which could be enjoyed by both children and their broader families. Their debut album, the self-titled ''Pollapönk'', was created as the duo's graduation project from the Iceland University of Education. The following year, Haraldur's brother Arnar Þór Gíslason and Guðni Finnsson joined the band, playing drums and bass guitar, respectively.
