Ógra Shinn Féin
Ógra Shinn Féin (colloquially known as Republican Youth, , and formerly, officially known as Sinn Féin Republican Youth, ga, Sinn Féin Óige Phoblachtach, from 2012 to March 2018) is the youth wing of the Politics of Ireland, Irish political party Sinn Féin. Ógra Shinn Féin is active and organised throughout the island of Ireland. Upon its establishment in 1997 it was originally known as Sinn Féin Youth; it changed to Ógra Shinn Féin in 1998. A number of Sinn Féin's elected representatives are also members of Ógra Shinn Féin. Membership Membership is free and open to all Sinn Féin party members and college society members aged 15 to 29 who support a united Ireland and the establishment of a democratic socialist republic. Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Fintona (; ), is a village and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Its population at the 2011 Census was 1,164. Name and etymology Fintona is derived phonetically from the Irish name of the area, ''Fionntamhnach''; this is often translated to mean "white field" however other meanings have been recorded due to various English translations for "fionn" and "tamhnach". The Starry Plough banner ( ga, An Camchéachta – the bent plough) is a flag which was originally used by the Irish Citizen Army, a socialist Irish republican movement, and subsequently adopted by other Irish political organizations. Megahy, though the concept may have originated with George William Russell, for the Irish Citizen Army and showed silver stars on a green background. The Colombia Three are three individuals – Niall Connolly, James Monaghan and Martin McCauley – who are currently living in the Republic of Ireland, having fled from Colombia, where they had been sentenced to prison terms of seventeen years in 2003 on terrorism charges for training FARC rebels.
