Élizabeth Giguère
Élizabeth Giguère (born May 8, 1997) is a Canadian ice hockey player for PWHL New York of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She played college ice hockey with the Clarkson Golden Knights and the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs, where she was a two-time First Team CCM/ AHCA All-American and the winner of the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2020. She previously played for the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Playing career Collegiate career Giguère began her collegiate career for the Clarkson Golden Knights during the 2017–18 season. During her freshman season, Giguère recorded 27 goals and 44 assists, setting Clarkson's program record for freshman scoring with 71 points. 2023 PWHL Draft
The 2023 PWHL Draft was the first draft in Professional Women's Hockey League history, and took place on September 18, 2023, at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Minnesota Golden Gophers forward Taylor Heise was the first player chosen in the draft, selected by Minnesota. In all, 90 players were selected over 15 rounds of drafting. 2021–22 NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Season
The 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season began in September 2021 and ended with the 2022 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament's championship game at Pegula Ice Arena in State College, Pennsylvania on March 20, 2022. Polls Regular season Realignment In 2019 the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, an NCAA Division III league, took the unprecedented step of removing St. Thomas from its membership because of concerns about "athletic competitive parity." Because the removal affected all sports and was effective at the end of the 2020–21 season, St. Thomas had time to decide what it would do next. Erin Ambrose
Erin Ambrose (born April 30, 1994) is a Canadian women's ice hockey player with the PWHPA and the Canada women's national ice hockey team. She made her debut with the Canada women's national ice hockey team at the 2014 4 Nations Cup. Playing career At the age of 11, Ambrose moved from AA to AAA boys hockey, and in her second season, she was named team captain. She began to play women's ice hockey as a 14-year-old in 2008. She competed for Ontario Blue at the 2008 National Women's Under-18 Championship and participated in all five games. Ontario Blue had a fourth-place finish at the tournament in Napanee, Ont. In 2009, she was invited to Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team. Jamie Lee Rattray
Jamie Lee Rattray (born September 30, 1992) is a Canadian women's ice hockey player for the Markham Thunder. Life As a member of the gold medal-winning squad at the 2010 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship, a hockey card of her was featured in the Upper Deck 2010 World of Sports card series. While in college, she played for the Clarkson Golden Knights. In 2014, she won the Patty Kazmaier Award and helped Clarkson win their first NCAA women's hockey championship. RPI Engineers Women's Ice Hockey
The RPI Engineers women's ice hockey team are a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I women's college ice hockey program that represents Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). The Engineers are a member of the ECAC Hockey (ECACHL) conference. They play at the Houston Field House in Troy, New York. History The Engineers women's hockey program began for the 1995–96 season, playing at the NCAA Division III level in ECAC East. In their final season in Division III, the 2004–05 season, the Engineers qualified to the championship game of the ECAC East Tournament. It was their second consecutive season in the championship. That season, RPI had 21 wins, compared to only 6 losses and a league record of 17–2–0. The Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey team represent Boston College in the NCAA and participate in Hockey East. The Eagles are coached by former Olympic gold medallist Katie King-Crowley and play their home games at Conte Forum. Yale Bulldogs Women's Ice Hockey
Yale University women's ice hockey (YWIH) is an NCAA Division I varsity ice hockey program at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. One of the oldest varsity women's ice hockey programs in the country, Yale women's ice hockey dates back to 1975. Beginning as a club sport, the program gained varsity team status in 1977–78.
